Disappointed this title ended.
I enjoyed the first 5 volumes and was disappointed to see it seemingly quickly wrapped up and back to the same ol same ol. I love Peter as Spider-Man but thought this series could've gone on longer with more depth and story telling.

Review of Superior Spider-Man Vol. 6
That was the most incredible conclusion ever! The Superior Spider-Man was a FANTASTIC story by Dan Slott! The way everything was wrapped up was fantastically done! Every Spider-Man fan MUST read this story! Truly a great and important piece of both Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus 's careers! This was a SUPERIOR read!

I wasn't fond of Superior Spider-Man in the beginning but the story grew on me Doc Ock makes for a very interesting and dark Spider-Man along with excellent designs in costume choice and surprisingly an interesting hero. Goblin Nation makes you want to see more of the superior spider-man.

It just got better!
"Superior Spider-Man volume 6: Goblin Nation" is a thrilling conclusion to the Superior Spider-Man series by Dan Slott and Christos N. Gage. Once again, story follows Doctor Octopus, who has taken over Peter Parker's body and become the new Spider-Man. In this volume, we see the return of the Green Goblin, who is determined to destroy Spider-Man once and for all.The artwork by Giuseppe Camuncoli is stunning, with detailed drawings and bold colors that bring the action to life. The fight scenes are particularly impressive, with dynamic poses and creative uses of Spider-Man's web-slinging abilities. The writing is equally impressive, with Dan Slott and Christos N. Gage crafting a gripping story that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The dialogue is sharp and witty, which I always loved about Spider-Man, with plenty of nods to Spider-Man's history and the Marvel Universe as a whole.Overall, "Goblin Nation" is a must-read for Spider-Man fans. It's a satisfying conclusion to the Superior Spider-Man series, with plenty of action, drama, comedy, and heart. Highly recommended."

Ending of the Superior Spider-Man saga seemed to be a bit rushed (probably due to needing to get Peter back in time for the movie). Other than that a good finale to a great run.

Terrifice conclusion to a terrific series. At first glance
Terrifice conclusion to a terrific series. At first glance, the tired old 'body swap' trope suggested that the spider-writers were out of spider-ideas. However, having an supremely confident Otto Octavius possessing Spider Man's body we're treated to a fast-moving and darkly comic tale that really brings it home just how annoying Peter Parker's constant whining and worrying about how 'with great power.....etc' can be. The idea was limited of course and they finish the run at just the right moment. The best Spider Man story of recent years.

Brilliant conclusion!!!
This last volume is a wonderful conclusion to the series and I think Dan Slott's run on Spider-man is like no other writers, but you probably already know that. Throughout the volume there are several nods to events that have occurred in Spider-man's history and I think quite simply Dan Slott has achieved a very difficult task of rebuilding and yet rejuvenating the Spider-man we all know and love, without stripping away too much or changing the character beyond recognition. Of course, Doc Ock in Peter Parker's body is a premise that some people have disliked, although I like that kind of story in the Marvel universe, and it does not resemble any of the other storylines that have occurred, and at it's conclusion I feel that there is much to build on and many sub-plots left to develop. I look forward to seeing what Dan Slott does next with Spider-man and I'm glad to have purchased the entire series.

All good things must come to an end...
WARNING: MILD SPOILERS AHEADAnd so, one of the most controversial story-arcs in Marvel's recent history finally draws to a close.. And, while I can't speak for everyone, personally, I think the whole thing's been a blast!Unless you've been living under a rock this past year, you probably already know the gist of the story.. But, without launching into a long & convoluted synopsis, here's a quick refresher to bring you up to speed -Spider-man's long time arch-enemy Dr Otto Octavius, aka Doctor Octopus, managed to cheat his own death by pulling off a mindswap with Peter Parker, thereby inheriting his body, along with all his memories & abilities as Spider-man! As an unforeseen side-effect however, Otto also inherits Parker's sense of justice & responsibility - he henceforth vows to become an even better Spider-man; a "Superior" Spider-man as it were...And, crazy thing is - he does a pretty damn good job all things considered!! Sure sure, he makes his fair share of mistakes along the way.. Getting too heavy-handed with certain criminals; treating the rest of his superhero cohorts like dirt (not that some of them don't deserve it..); managing to alienate two of Parker's long-time love-interests (one being MJ; the other I won't spoil but, for me, it was a genuine laugh-out-loud moment!)... Oh, and of course, there's the whole unfortunate oversight with letting the Green Goblin & his cronies take over NYC's underworld behind his back.. But, hey - nobody's perfect, right?!The fact remains however that, as Spider-man, Otto does genuinely try his best to bring order & stability to NYC - sure, his results are, shall we say, "mixed" at best.. The important thing, though, is Otto's personal journey to try & become a true hero; a journey that, for better or worse, has given birth to one of the most original Marvel sagas of the past decade! Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive fan when it comes to Spidey; however, I can't help but feel that, in recent years, many of Spider-man's story-arcs have become somewhat stale & predictable.. Which is precisely why the Superior Saga felt like such a breath of fresh air! I freely admit, I had strong reservations when they killed off Peter Parker (for the like, what, tenth time..?) & replaced him with one of his most bitter enemies.. However, despite myself, I've really grown to like old Otto over the course of this series; he's a surprisingly sympathetic character overall; one who, despite his obvious flaws, does his best to make good with the new lease of life he's been given. Indeed, so taken was I with the new "Superior" Spider-man that - no disrespect to Mr Parker - I almost prefer him to the original! Blasphemy, I know... Still, you just gotta love Otto's very unique approach to fighting crime; unlike Parker, he's far more tactical, able to think outside the box & often anticipate his opponents every strategy (he WAS a supervillain after all; makes sense he would know how to think like one!). Also, he's not afraid to fight dirty.. Something that boy scout Parker would never consider doing! Sure, this does sometimes lead to him going a little over the top.. Personally however, I found Otto's no-nonsense way of dealing with criminal scum rather.. Cathartic! So, with all this praise I seem to be heaping on the series as a whole, some of you are perhaps wondering why I felt fit to give this, the finale, only four stars..? Welllll.. Here's the thing - we all knew this strange turn of events couldn't last.. As anyone who reads Marvel or DC comics should know by now: "Status Quo is God"!!! The inevitable return of Peter Parker has been hinted at for about the last three volumes; however, without going into spoiler territory, when it does finally arrive, it all feels.. rather... Flat. I understand the authors were maybe a bit pressed for time at this point, and needed to try & wrap everything up within a couple of chapters: unfortunately, the whole thing just comes off feeling rather rushed & maybe just a tad too convenient.. After all the months of hard work Otto put in attempting to rid NYC of crime (only for it to blow up in his face, but still..) victory just seems to basically fall into Parker's lap! Even worse, poor Otto doesn't get nearly the send-off he deserved, instead choosing to go out with little more than a whimper... Having grow to like & respect his character so much over the course of this series, I just feel this was very lazy writing on the part of Dan Slott.. You were doing SO well! Why stumble right at the very end?!Of course, this is all just my own humble opinion; the only way to know if this series is really for you is to read it for yourself & make up your own mind - I, personally, have enjoyed it immensely; I'm just sad that it had to come to such an anticlimactic end.. I probably will pick up at least the first volume of the next Spider-man saga, just to see how Parker handles all the fallout from having his arch-nemesis galavanting around in his body for the past year; I gotta say though, I'm really gonna miss old Otto... Of course, this being the world of comics & all, I somehow doubt this is the last we'll ever see off him - give it a year or two, he'll be back, hale & hearty! I just pray they don't relegate him to once again being the generic, slightly comical, mustache-twirling pantomime villain he's been in the past; having fleshed out his character so much in this series, I reckon old Doc Ock deserves to be treated with just a bit more respect in future.. Time will tell! So, to sum up: if you're bored with Spider-man, or just comics in general, give this series a whirl - it may just revitalize your interest! And, if nothing else, it's worth reading just to hear Otto calling the Avengers a bunch of witless dolts!!

Little irritating. But great book
Annoyingly the cover/spine design I received doesn't go with the rest of my Superior Spider-Man series. So it sticks out and will irritate me forever -.- However I kinda prefer this style, and it is a fantastic book, and arrived in no time
