This signal processor restores dynamics in microseconds. This technology did not exist until 2009, and has never been offered for use in your home - until now. Dynamics are "limited" during the recording process to prevent distortion during playback - when using low powered equipment. The dynamics are what you feel during a live performance. This device will absolutely make your recordings sound more lifelike - or return it - no questions asked.

The SVS is so good, but also a bit much for my relatively ...
For the asking price, what do you have to lose? My McIntosh MA6700 integrated is running a lengthy 50ft+ sub cable around the perimeter of my living room to my SVS SB13-ultra tucked away in the rear left corner. The SVS is so good, but also a bit much for my relatively small listening room, so I've found a good balance setting the sub volume to -7, which works well to my tastes for both music and movies in a 2.1 channel setup. I'll not get into the SVS sub setup complexities, which took some considerable trial and error to find my sweet spot. I totally left the SVS setting alone for the purposes of this Soundlabs add-on tweak.Installing the Soundlabs SW2 took less than a minute, my only hiccup being the module's power cord is rather short, so I needed a short extension cord to reach my sub from nearest outlet. I also set the module's rotating adjustment knob to "full".The results were immediate and dramatic with the caveat that to discern the module's effect on your system, volume has to be at a certain level. I usually listen to music around a low to moderate volume level of 25-35 (of 100) on my integrated amp, but at volume level 30 (approx 1/3) my sub was pushing out such punchier base that my windows were literally shaking and my couch was pulsing. Bass was tight and snappy, not boomy. Holy smoke, I couldn't believe it. Mind you I did not touch the output level of the SVS sub at all (still set at volume -7, that's minus 7). I spent the next 2 hours surfing my Spotify artists, seeing how different music now sounded. From Beatles "Come Together" to Jack Johnson's "Holes to Heaven", to Hosier's incredible "Work Song", to over the top bass heavy AWOL Nation's "Sail", various music had very dramatic impact and slam versus my previous setup. The hair on my head was moving from the LF sound waves. I'm sure, even at this relatively moderate setting on my integrated, the neighbors were likely a bit annoyed. But I was having so much fun!End result? Can I listen to this much punch you in the face bass all the time? No, its too fatiguing. Is it good for demos for your family & friends? Yes, it will literally blow them away. When you're in the mood to rock out or watch a movie with great sound with total immersion? Yes. Does it make much micro-dynamic bass impact at low listening levels when you're just being mellow? Not that I could tell. In fact, I think I prefer my original setup without the module for bass nuance and low level detail WHEN LISTENING AT LOWER LEVELS (i.e. Saturday mornings or late evenings when rest of fam goes to bed). Once I dial back the module's level a bit, and find a happy balance, perhaps I'll find a medium to leave it on all the time. It's a low cost and very worthwhile investment, and lots of fun. Recommended.

Performs as I had hoped, all the good without the bad
I have an 18" sealed Elemental Design Subwoofer. It has a 1350 watt RMS amp(tested and verified RMS not peak). My ED sub has a boost at 25Hz due to sealed frequency roll-off . I have never really had this sub performing like it SHOULD, for it's size and power rating. I happened to come across this SW2 Signal Processor and figured I would give it a try, after all 60$ is a lot cheaper than $$ for a new sub.I noticed Immediately the sub's output louder ,but only when called to do so. I have Audyssey XT32, and it is great, but it 's subwoofer level is too low. I boost the levels on the Receiver, but that puts too much bass in the entire signal . This somehow restores frequencies that are filtered or lowered , but does not mud up the midrange. I am not an audio engineer , so whatever it does, it does it right for me. I just went and bought Black Hawk Down for the helicopter scenes that go low and deep, and my room actually pressurized, an experience I only had once before. It is actually boosting 2 subs as a second runs off the pass through of my ED sub.I have never bought into the audio hype & foolery that goes into a copper cable being directional, or processors that alter the sound, but this is not one of those,It performs as described and I really like the results. It made my subwoofer perform as I thought it should when I bought it. I am buying more for my other subs.

Dangerously powerful bass
Well, straight to the point. This does increase the bass output of my sub, the Hsu Hf 15 with 350 watts of continuous power. Even at low volume setting during the Dark Knight rises, my entire room pressurized and my couch shook. Even on regular music cd, there was an absolute power to the bass.Reason not five star? Bass was clean and powerful but maybe too much without proper adjustment. Another negative was there seems to be a whooshing sound even when sub was not in use, not very noticeable unless you put your ear near the sub. Also wished there was an on/off switch.

Product did not work out in my system, but US Sound Labs kept their word and took it back. I would do business with them again.

awesome
I own a Klipsch SW112 and thought no away can you make this Sub sound better. Was I wrong! I played some of my favorite Fleetwood Mac and noticed the difference right away. So then I put on The original Matrix movie, wow, I glad my sub has lots of power cause I used it all.

Device brought the boomy bass
No matter how many settings and configurations I tried, couldn't get this to do anything but create more boom. And I didn't need more boom.Followed instructions, looked on the web for help, tried everything, even swapped out my Sunfire subs for Velodyne and PBS models, but just didn't get the deeper bass "feeling" promised by this device.YMMV, but I've returned mine.

Subs UNLEASHED!
I've been really frustrated with sub clipping in movies and was convinced my subs were the problem, in my HT Demo Room no less. You guys taught me otherwise, and explained the problem with the limiting filters from my Receiver. Now they're beasts unleashed! Thanks for that!Nice product that I'm recommending to my customers - I'm an audio dealer who happens to be your customer. Great Job.

Comes alive when the volume cranks
I've owned a Mirage PS180 for a long time, not super powerful, but sounds great. I thought I would give this a try. At first, I thought it wasn't doing anything, but a few days later when I was cranking the volume I heard the drums come through way cleaner than before. Money well spent.
