Gorgeous, well-packed, and nice contrast between traditional and modern styles.
This is gorgeous, and exactly as pictured. I have the #13 with black frame with black mat, and the embroidery is definitely frame-worthy. The tree that is depicted seems to have a lot of different names, but I think it goes by "Bai Yu Lan" and "white jade orchid tree." The creamy white and blush tones of the flowers are such a dramatic contrast against the bold, black frame and mat.The entire framed piece arrives well protected by foam and plastic film. Including the frame, it measures 13 inches square. The wood frame itself is 3/4 inches deep, and 3/4 inches wide. Again, there's a nice contrast between the modern, blocky shape of the frame, and the softness of the traditional silk embroidery.The back of the frame isn't painted, but that's not a dealbreaker. The overall look is refined, but not stuffy, thanks to the modern proportions and framing.
