Inspiring
This inspiring book tells the story of Ama, a young girl who has just arrived in Richmond, Yorkshire the town where Lady Hale lived as a child. Ama and her class visit London and they meet Lady Hale at The Supreme Court. The book is fun and informative. It gives an excellent introduction to some of decisions Supreme Court Judges make and how the laws that Parliament have made can help people but also sometimes limit them. For example the Supreme Court ruled that taking time out of school for holidays was not right. It discusses issues of equality both in opportunities and pay. Ideal Christmas present for any primary child with big ambitions. The final message: you are equal to everything even a judge at the Supreme Court!

Inspiring
Brenda Hale is a role model for girls, and this book is a lovely way to illustrate that for the same girls who are wondering what they might achieve in their lives. The girl from Richmond who studied hard and became the first woman Law Lord and then the first woman on the new Supreme Court is a fomidable person, dedicated to justice and fair play. Whoever you are, you can enjoy this and be inspired.

Afua Hirsch is building up a generation of inquisitive, informed leaders
This was a great children's book which explained the UK legal system in an accessible way for my 3 girls between the ages of 4-8. So glad that this book exists. Both Judge Brenda and Afua Hirsch are inspirations to us all. The illustrations are lovely as well.

Brilliant inspiring book
Great pictures, great rhymes, great topic. Perfect for interested little people aged about 7-10 i'd say, although i also got my 13 year old to read it and she enjoyed it. When my children had all read it we gave it to the school and they based some PSHE lessons around it.

A great way of starting to inform children about an essential part of our democracy.
I purchased this book to inform and inspire my partner's grand daughter who reviewed it as "great" . It has since been passed to my son (primary headteacher) to add to the school library.

An informative, accessible and inclusive book perfect for today’s challenges.
This a brilliant book for inspiring girls to reach for the stars. It explains quite difficult concepts in an accessible and sympathetic way without preaching or being condescending. The illustrations are also wonderful. I have bought this for my eight year old granddaughters birthday next week and can’t wait for her response.

Inspiring, informative, beautifully illustrated! Ideal birthday/Christmas present.
This is such an important publication, championing equality and educating readers (young and old!) about our judicial system. Beautifully illustrated and thoughtfully told, I hope the story of Lady Hale will inspire many children. Perfect for a birthday or Christmas present!
