Reliable, fast and cheap
Recently I have upgraded my desktop with the TP-LINK AX3000 Wi-Fi PC card, and it’s been fantastic! The performance is incredibly reliable, providing a smooth and stable connection for everything from streaming to gaming. What really stands out is the price – for such a high-quality Wi-Fi 6 card, it’s an excellent value. Installation was quick and easy, and the card fits perfectly in my PC case. If you’re looking for an affordable and dependable Wi-Fi upgrade, this is definitely the one to go for!

Does the Job
Not much to dislike as does the job well. Easy to install, speeds seem okay so far and magnetic base on aerials/antenna lets you place this where you want. Though maybe a longer connection from Card to Antenna base would help but thats a minor point.Cost seems a bit expensive but a lot of what you get is what you cant see as its all in the components. No dropped connections encountered and all seems fine when gaming, surfing and using the computer in general.

Great
I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this inexpensive Ethernet card. Setup was easy, and it worked right out of the box without any driver issues. Despite the low price, the connection is fast and stable, even during heavy usage. Download and upload speeds are just as good as with more expensive cards, with no noticeable lag or dropouts. If you’re looking for a reliable and affordable option, this card delivers great value for the money. Highly recommend it for anyone needing a simple upgrade without breaking the bank!

Works great on my PC
Why bother?I have currently been using the built-in motherboard wi-fi but was wondering if jumping to Wifi-6 would improve my Wi-fi speed. I haven’t spotted a wi-fi 6 router yet that has good enough reviews to shell out hundreds of pounds for a replacement, so I figured I’d start with the PCIe adapter first at around £50. I did spot an Asus one that was slightly cheaper, but it was out of stock, so the TP-Link was my experiment. My spec:PC: 6 year old desktop pc with an Asus motherboard that supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz (Broadcom 80211ac chip)(Windows 10, 64bit, intel i7-4770K 3.5 Ghz, 16GB Ram, Samsung 1TB SSD)Router: FritzBox 7530 (Supplied by Zen ISP)InstallationOn receiving the TP-Link AX-3000 Archer TX3000E PCIE card it was straightforward to install. There was however a cable that attaches to the card and plugs into an internal USB Port. This is to get the Bluetooth 5.0 working. I didn’t have any spare USB ports and never use Bluetooth so I left the cable plugged into the card but not the board for now as I may change my mind later. There’s an external Antenna that screws into the two connectors at the back of the card. Please note I had a few issues connecting to any Wi-fi at all initially but soon realised I hadn’t correctly tightened (or I hadn’t aligned the threads up correctly) the nuts. So, make sure you don’t make my mistake as you may end up writing a bad review unnecessarily.SoftwareAfter installing the card and switching on my PC I went straight to the TP-Link Website and got the latest version from the downloads section. I didn’t bother with the install disk that came with it.TestingMy router and internet connection has the ability to provide up to 300MBS when directly connected via a cable That’s my theoretical maximum. So below are my test results:Asus built-in wi-fi (using original antenna)2.4ghz (down/up): 88MB/32 MBs5.0ghz (down/up): n/a (Signal too weak to connect)Asus built-in wi-fi (using TP-Link antenna)2.4ghz (down/up): 79MBs/32 MBs5.0ghz (down/up): 111MBs/32 MBsTP-Link wi-fi (using TP-Link antenna):2.4ghz (down/up): 96MBs/32 MBs5.0ghz (down/up): 176MBs/32 MBs <------TP-Link wi-fi (using old Asus antenna)2.4ghz (down/up): 38MBs/32 MBs5.0ghz (down/up): 123MBs/31 MBsConclusion:The antenna alone makes a big difference but the two together is giving me faster wi-fi than before. So for me it’s a win. Meanwhile my next project is the wi-fi 6 router but I’m happy to wait until the right one takes my fancy.

Good quality at a good price point
At this price point (~£25) it's hard to argue with the value, after installation it just worked immediately, no need to install drivers and I've had zero connection issues since plugging it in.I've got it connected back to a 2.5G switch over ~25m of cat5e and it's running full speed with expected speeds for file transfers etc. and no dropouts.I'd recommend this product.

Much Faster Internet Speeds
I ungraded my internet package from EE to what should have been at least 140Mb/s, but although I was achieving that on the phone the desktop PC WiFi was a fraction of that. Ran a cable from the router to the PC (out of the window, as the PC is upstairs in the office) and full speed was achieved, so that proved the card in my self-built PC was the problem. Not surprising as it was the same card from 10 years ago, that pursuaded me it was time to upgrade. Researching the new router that had been supplied, I found that it was to the WiFi 6 standard and realising a card to that standard was required. Deciding on the same make as previously used for years, this card it has performed fantastically well and now I can match the times I'm getting on the phone on the PC. The message is clear MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER HARDWARE MATCHES THE WiFi ROUTER SPEED.

Quality
I bought a PC from Amazon but the internet was never very good. The PC was the only device in the house that had a poor speed test result so I new it was the PC at fault. In the end it got slower, and slower until it was painful. I had a speed test of less that 1. After I installed this I was straight up to the high 40's/50. Also, it has bluetooth built in and I had to use a USB dongle previously. So happy days. It did take hours to download the driver on the old wi-fi card before I switched them. It comes with a CD-rom but the PC doesn't have a drive. Luckily I thought to download the driver before I switched the cards.
