Durable with ez release
I like the "waxiness" of the serving material. Arrows seem to glide right off of it. The .019 works well on my recurve 18 strand fastflight/dyneema string along with the large groove G/T nocks on my .246 diameter arrows. .017 was just bit loose and presented a risk of dryfiring, or worse, if the arrow slipped off at draw. .021 was a bit tight.However, I have some 16 strand strings and for these I use a .021 serving. All in all, you just have to try some options and learn what works for you.The BCY has a good reputation and USA company and would stay away from the other knockoff(pun not intended) servings. Tried them and they fray easimy and do not finish well on the backserve burn.

The best I've found for center serving.
Stays in place and very long lasting. Use 8125 with Halo centers and 3D for end loops for all my Oly recurve strings.
