This focusing rail is precisely machined and beautifully finished. I contacted Swebo about the ability to rotate the clamp 90° and the reply came within a few hours. There are 4 mounting screws in a square pattern so it can be rotated 90°.The shipment arrived 8 days after placing the order. It was securely packaged with several layers of bubble wrap. The product box was wrapped in several layer of bubble wrap and the shipping box was heavy cardboard. The rail came in a storage pouch and there was a surprise extra. It came with a 60mm mounting plate, which was not in the product photo. The whole mechanism is beautifully made. The first thing I did was see if I could rock the carriage from the rail. There was absolutely no movement. The drive screw turned smoothly and the carriage glided smoothly. There was no slop or free-play.I then loosened the 4 screws on the clamp and rotated it 90° to accommodate the mounting plate on my camera. I have the plate inline with the axis of the lens to enable balancing heavier lenses.The focusing rail performed smoothly and flawlessly. I am very impressed by the quality of the rail and how it performed.One potential downside is that it doesn’t have a clutch. For people who like to be able to quickly slide the carriage back and forth, this can be a problem. It’s not an issue for me. You can also slide the whole rail back and forth by loosening the clamp on your tripod head.Yes, it is somewhat more expensive than some of the other focusing rail but to me it is worth the price. The only other rail where you can rotate the clamp is the Kirk and that cost about twice as much. I considered the iShoot at $80 but that has a fixed clamp going in the wrong direction (for my setup) and the rail appears much thinner. The Swebo rail is solid across the bottom. No risk of the sides bending from the tripod head clamp.P.S. One full turn of the screw moves the carriage 1mm. The crank has a scale with 100 divisions.

Swebo LS-001 arrived well packaged and ahead of the schedule (all the way from Shanghai in only one week!). This appears to be a custom-shop product and is kinda expensive. But if you need this level of precision you really don't have many other choices. In fact this is probably the most precise manual focusing rail out there, by far and by any price. I can't microscopically verify Swebo's 0.01 mm accuracy claim, but with bare eye I can attest that the movement on the rail does match perfectly to the scale on the turning dial, both forward and backward (no detectable backlash either way). The slide operates smoothly with over 3 kg of photographic equipments on top, no gap or hiccup whatsoever. You can also stack two of this together perpendicularly to form a 4-way micro adjusting slider for more creative possibilities. Suffice to say, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Better made than other macro focusing devices I've looked at. Smooth operation. Excellent fit and finish. No problems whatever to report.I should mention that I was hesitant to order something that ships direct from China. There have been a lot of news stories about delays in international shipments caused by the COVID pandemic. So I decided to pay the extra fee for expedited shipping. The package was handled by "SF Express". They provided very detailed tracking and got the package to my home on the east coast of the United States a day ahead of what they predicted.

So far it seems stable with a full frame Nikon and nikon PB-6 bellows mounted - no rotational wobble or play and no forward or backward play along the lead screw. I like the large handwheel to turn the leadscrew; small wheels are definitely less convenient and less accurate.Some screws loosened in shipment so make sure to check them upon arrival, otherwise the mounting plate may have some undesirable play in it.Two very minor issues: 1) the rail squeaks as the carriage is advanced and 2) I wish there was a alignment mark on the side of the carriage to line up with the scale on the rail. There is a mark on the underside of the carriage but this isn't very convenient.Finally, it took 9 days to arrive, far quicker than the 6-10 weeks estimated by Amazon!

Stable, sturdy, but much smaller than you expect when seeing the photos. Suggest adding tape measure into the image for scale. High quality, tight, but easy-to-operate assembly. Not suitable for close-up work (e.g., toy cars or flowers)--designed instead for Micro photography (insects, circuit boards, stamps, coins, etc). Highly specialized but, when you need it, not much else will work as well. To the Maker: Thank you for building it!

This SWEBO focusing rail exhibits excellent construction and workmanship. The screw mechanism is free runningand feels silky smooth. When reversing screw direction. slight play is felt at the blue knob but the camera platform remains stable and unaffected. This unit has the look and feel of a precision product.The camera platform can be unscrewed and rotated in 90 degree increments. A camera base plate is included with the unit. The unit has Arca Swiss compatible dove tails and will work with clamps, ball heads and accessories.The product was shipped directly from China, was packaged well and arrived ahead of schedule.

Very good product but a little bit on pricey side. It will be worth it over time if it holds up, and I think it will.

I ordered this directly from SWEBO on July 4, 2021 and received it on July 14. Fairly fast for middle of the pandemic.It works really well. Actually can do .01 mm adjustments, although I don't usually need adjustments below .025. Operation is smooth. However, it does had a slight play when you switch directions of movement. This causes the camera to twist slightly. Not a real problem, as I just make sure I don't need to change movement direction during a focus stack. Apparently they have fixed this issue since I ordered mine.Overall, I am please and use it frequently.

付属品は収納袋と六角レンチ4種、そして謎のネジ2本（クランプ取り付けねじでした）取説は無し。届いて早速動かしてみると、なんか渋い。ついでにメモリ12刻みほどの遊びが。クランプ取り付けのネジもユルユル。クランプ取り付けねじを締めるとなぜか渋さが増す…とりあえずシャフト部にKCM001少し塗布しましたがさほど変わらず。商品写真を再度眺めると、クランプを取り付ける台座の側面にあるLock、Unlockが反対側についてます。そしてLock、Unlockの表示が消えて社名。何やってんだか。この側面ネジが動作抵抗調整のようです。締めるとより渋めに動き、緩めると軽やかになりました。卓上三脚でもほとんどぶれないほどです。他にも調整が必要な所はありますが、あくまでも調整の問題で精度の問題ではないようです。なぜ消したのかは、なんとなく思いつきます。工作精度が良くても渋くして動かせば、台座ナットは自己潤滑性求めて銅、稼働シャフトはステンレスですので摩耗は激しくなるだろうことは容易に想像が付きます。調整すると工作精度は確かに良い事が解ります。遊びもなくヌルヌル動きます。解らずに使っている方もいるかもしれません。もったいないことです。箱出しですぐ使わない方が良いでしょう。

使ってみて、0.01mmを測ったわけではないので、なんとも言えませんが、深度合成するのにいいかなと購入し十分使えると判断しました。購入前にカメラ側のプレートが付いてくるのか質問させてもらったのですが、「付いてきませんでした。 」と「持ってる。無料です 」とお二人の方から返答いただき、どっちだ？？となって事前に買ってしまいました。結果は「付いてくる」でした。なら写真に示してもらえると安心しますね。きっと昔はついてなくて、今はついてくるのでしょう。ものはいいと思います。

注文してから当初の納期は1ヶ月後でしたが、3〜4日で中国本土から直送便で届きびっくり。商品の加工もきっちりしており、レバーハンドルも軽やかに回ります。本体がそのままクイックリリースで雲台に固定できるので、ガタツキもなくピントの微調整もしやすく、中国製ももはやあなどれません。三脚は必要ですが、持ち出しも苦にならないと思います。
