Product as described-Quality excellent- well designed , sturdy and balanced with good proportions. Not too large . So far I’m impressed.Previously used battery operated, 2 meal feeders - very basic timers . As I have 2 cats on a dried food diet , it limits how long I can leave the cats - also they have in the past failed to open because the “greedy cat “ has attacked the feeder and dislodged the batteries .This is good value for the money.Have done test runs :Cats quickly adapted to the auto feed . If not a bit spooked by the meal call too start with! Quickly caught on to the promise of food though - watch their ears prick up and they are off.Did test weights on the food drop impressed by the accuracy within 1 or 2 grams onlyFeed tray large enough for 2 small /medium cats to feed alongside .

So, it’s 5.30 AM today and I’m woken up by the sound of me calling my kittie mews for something to eat. I’m a very light sleeper so I’m thinking what a dream! Hark! It’s not a dream, it’s the recording I made with my new auto pet feeder. First time I heard it in action and it worked a treat. I only bought it for when I was out all night living the dream but I decided to set it up for all time use. 3 feeds a day on level 4 is perfect for them both. The portion size came out too big on level 10 for them so I made it a bit smaller. 4 seems right. A whole bag of standard size cat food (DRY) goes in the hopper and it’s job done for feeding time. I think for the money (it’s 50£ on Amazon right now) it’s very good value and takes the hassle out of making sure I am home to feed them in case I pulled that night (which to be fair doesn’t seem as often as it used to be)....Sigh...

I bought this for my cat. He used to wake me up really early to beg for food. After 3 days, I get to enjoy a full night sleep!I have it programmed 4 times/day. I use the wire, but I will go for the batteries too (in case of a blackout).The portion size is pretty accurate. It comes with two distributer paddle. I use the small one, which gives 5 gm/portion.This device will help my cat to stay in normal size, and control his diet.The dispencer is quiet as well. The only sound I hear is the dry food when it 'hits' the tray (not that bad. I'm a light sleeper and I do not wake up).The set up was not difficult, and I have not used the voice recorder.It is ideal if you are many hours away from home as well. And, it is easily OK if you will be away for a week on vacation...I seriously cannot find a disadvantage.

I think this pet feeder is genius. I use it on mains but it also works on battery’s, which is handy if your pet is likely to chew the cable.If I go away I always have to find someone to come around to feed our cat, meaning leaving a key hidden somewhere and feeling the need to buy gifts to show our appreciation. WOW! This is going to save us a fortune over the years and also take away the worry and stress of finding a cat sitter.I’ve had it now for over 3 weeks and have been using it while at home, just to build my confidence in it. It’s never failed to deliver the set amount of dried food at the set time.Also I love it that it stores a lot of cats food inside you no need to refill it so often, no need keep cats food bag somewhere. And it's safe cat won't open the lid.

The media could not be loaded. It is primordial for people that travel a lot or work long hours. It really helps and I don’t need to worry anymore, because I’m sure that my dogs will be feed. (I forgot to say that I LOVE the audio recording! If every time that I say the phrase that I recorded, the dogs run for the machine to check if there’s any food! )

I have 2 cats and my existing 2 feed boxes would only last a couple of days so plan B was needed.This automatic pet feeder by Athorbot seemed to be just what I was looking for, and all the reviews were positive. I was a little concerned with the display panel as this looked complicated with its 12 buttons, but in fact it’s very easy to follow and once set, you could leave the settings to repeat for the whole week.With a 6.5L tank, biscuits can be dispensed up to four times a day at various times with different quantity. Like an answer machine, you can record a short message but the mic is not very sensitive so get up close and shout.Power to this is by a supplied 5V USB lead and mains adaptor, although 3 x D cells (not supplied) can be used as the main power or as a backup.A good automatic pet feeder, this works well and it means we can leave the cats longer now.

Our cat would wake us up constantly for breakfast to the point we had to shut doors and keep her out of our bedroom at night. Since getting this automatic cat feeder, we are able to leave our doors open and she doesn't disturb us anymore and more importantly, she is fed at the same time everyday.However, there are some negatives to this product. Firstly, my cat knows how it works and will stick her paw up the device to try and get biscuits out, which normally works. It has been a struggle to train her not to do this, so the product would greatly benefit from a timed cover as well to protect against smart cats like mine. Secondly, the internal clock is fast and after a couple of weeks of being on it will be 10 mins faster or more than normal time.Overall, it is great product and I wouldn't get rid of it, but it does have its negatives.

This was a very good purchase indeed it took a couple of days for my cat to get used to the system (shes used to me pouring out the food for her) but once she became familiar with the sound she knows exactly when to go downstairs should she be hungry. I no longer have to wake up at 6am after a 12 hour shift to feed the cat as the machine does it perfectly for me. I did have to test the portion sizes out a few time to find the ideal portion of each meal time but once I did she was good to go. I like how the setting operation is simple to use and to be honest you could probably figure it out without the instructions. It was a well bought purchase that I highly reccomend I would buy again in the future if needed.
