the head doesn't turn with a breeze
the head doesn't rotate in the wind, for the money it should have included mounting screws

Seems to be working
Please note this owl does not have the fin on the back of the head. One of the pictures shows the slit to place the fin, but there isn't one. Regardless it's sitting out on my table in my back patio and so far seems to work. I will hot glue a piece of plastic on the back of it to create a fin. It is very light weight and does come with predrilled holes and screws to secure it to something. It has a little stopper on the bottom which allows you to put something inside of it. I chose to fill it up with sand as I wanted to move it around my patio. The types of birds we typically get are pigeons, doves, love birds and finches. I love the other birds however its the pigeons that make the most mess. But you can't pick and choose. They come to my area because our neighbors feed them. So even with food around this owl is keeping the birds at bay.

Keeps the doves away
Keeps the doves and pigeons away from the pool. No effect on small birds unfortunately.

Didn't scare my birds away
Didn't really work on my bird problem. It's medium size, light weight and looks ok. It has decent made plastic body. Head doesn't really move with the wind just kinda stays in the same spot. Even with constant movement every couple days my birds just kept coming back.

Still effective after 2 yrs
I bought this more life-sized owl in Nov 2021 because I finally couldn't tolerate the pigeons and other various birds around my house. One challenge was finding the right spot. Initially tried the retaining wall on end of driveway overlooking lower patio, but wind kept blowing it over no matter how weighed down. Finally tried another retaining wall between our driveway & neighbor's, which is shielded from wind and still had decent line of site over driveway and roof, and for the past yr it has been highly effective - cars have remained poop-free, and no annoying cooing etc noise on roof (our bedroom is on top floor/no attic, gable-hip roof combo?), which is key when I need to sleep during the day for night shifts. Lost the clear plastic insert in back of head for wind to make head move long time ago, so I guess head movement not as essential?

It’s a stiff toy. Not a deterrent.
I purchased this to act as a scarecrow against the squirrels that have been eating out of our garbage bins. It has not worked one bit. I also chose this particular owl because of the swiveling head, which also does not work as expected. Even with the air fin that attaches to the owls head; the wind barely moves the head— no matter how hard the wind blows. So, my evaluation of this product is that it’s an attractive owl that works well as a lawn trinket but definitely does not scare away squirrels or birds from our yard. The cost should be $5 to $10 less than it’s currently priced.

Crows are gone!
I put this in the yard several hundred feet below the house where the crows were digging up the grass looking for grubs. It's been 5 days and no crows have bothered the grass. people driving by think it's a real owl at first. I just filled it with soil/rocks, screwed it to a piece of plywood, and set it on the grass.
