Great product for sure....our daughter has been in swim lessons but still at times needed assistance....especially when we were just playing in the pool and not "lesson-ing" her...we didn't want to put full blown floats on her so she could still practice her arm, leg movements and putting her face in the water practicing breath control....this assisted her perfectly and gave her freedom in the pool too at the times we weren't working with her. This product keeps her head out of the water and gave me and my husband a little bit of a comfort when we weren't working on her skills and she just wanted to play. Now she is swimming great with continued practice and swim lessons. It also looks really cute. My daughter is 4, tall and skinny and straps were too big for her. We tied a knot in each strap and it fit her and worked just fine so that is my only negative with the product. BUT....I love that it has two straps and she said it never road up under her armpits.

This swim aid is great. Like many others reviewed, the straps are huge. My son is 6, weighs 53 lbs and is 4’2”. His chest measures 26”. The straps fit him perfectly. With a a lot of secured Velcro. Meaning he could gain another 5” of chest width before this would not fit him. If this is purchased for a smaller and younger child, you will need some sewing skills to shorten the straps. As for the product’s functionality, it works. My son is just advancing out of swimmers but still needs just a tiny bit of flotation support. This is perfect for him to feel his arms closer to his body without any restrictions. Also, I feel mentally, it has taken the fear out of swimming without an “aide”.

Looks great and the kid loved it. Local sheriff had to be dissuaded from blowing it up. He mumbled something about a bigger boat and wandered off.

Works great so far! Exactly what we wanted to help reinforce my son’s swim lessons. Easy to adjust the waistband, and easy to remove the layers as needed. I can see that the foam wouldn’t withstand too much rough play, but if you’re using it to swim and not subjecting it to unnecessary tugging/pulling, the foam layers should last awhile. IrI recommend it.

My 7-year-old buy loves it. He is learning to swim and this one perfectly helps to increase his swimming skills. It fits to the body of the boy pretty well. It can even be adjusted to 2.5 year old toddler. Plus, they are enjoying because they like to pretend to be a shark. This product is very simple. Made of sturdy foam. But, I should say it is a good invention. I wish it had something to wear underneath the body, and not only at the back. That way it would be pretty safe like a life jacket. This one is probably not that safe!

This things is so cute! I think the other kids in the pool we’re jealous! It was a great training aid, and my daughter ended up learning right away that she could go underwater. The buoyancy was just enough she felt safe to stick her head in. She hasn’t gotten the hang of using it like the pictures where the kids look to be practicing swimming but I bet she will. She is petite 6yo, 41lbs, and the Velcro can only just get short enough, fit my 9yo as well. My 4yo would have nothing to do with it yet!

Used at disability camp on Lake Tahoe. Over 40 Kids of all ages tried this, but many preferred another brand of shark fin. It encouraged kids to get into the water and be brave about something as scary as water. The straps get popping apart as the velcro would not hold. With small skinny body shapes, the fin would frequently slide down and would no longer fit. Cleaned with mild bleach in between using for different kids. There was some discoloration upon first use. Another shark fin brand did not discolored when exposed to mild bleach.

I got this for my 3 year old son who is obsessed with Baby Shark. He absolutely loves this shark fin for the pool. Mommy loves it because there is no longer a fight to put on a pol float since this is not bulky and more comfortable and stylish for kids to wear. It is made of a soft material and comes in a cute clear shopping bag perfect to bring with you on the go! Highly Recommend!
