Heavy Duty Roller Shower Curtain Rings, Pewter Clipperton RollerRings®, Set of 12

I get so bugged by shower curtains getting stuck on the rod. This is the second set I bought, but not because I replaced them, I am now using them in another bathroom. The first set has been rolling smoothly for a couple years now.They’re slightly annoying to hook on, but worth every second for ease of use the rest of the time.

The quality is good, the looks are there. I like the accent they give to my shower surround. The description of oiled bronze is right on. The rollers work well most of the time, however don't get too heavy handed with the curtains and throw the curtains back. I did this once and learned to be more fluid and gentle. The rollers jumped over and landed with the hook side upward and I had to get back into the tub to straighten them out. User error. The beads are smooth and don't scratch the curtain rod. There's another downside to these, they are difficult to put up as the hooks act like strong safety pens and it requires some effort to stretch them open to put the curtain and rod inside. The taking them down for washing the curtains weren't as difficult as I didn't remove the hooks from the rods, I left them up so that bringing the curtains back to the shower wasn't as hard as the original install. My delay in writing this review, and most of the reviews I do, is that I like to get to know a product before I write about it so that I can give a fair and honest opinion, and I always have an opinion, about my products. I can recommend this item for strength and quality, but for ease of use, I wish I'd considered another kind which just slips on and off the hook. However, having had these a while, I think I'll keep them and not invest in others. These are fine looking and fit my decor well. I may post a photo as I already have taken some and will edit this review when/if posting photo(s). Happy Showering! Update a little late... it took only twice of removing the curtains to decide that these hooks just won't do... so back to Amazon and I purchased another set with a different kind of hook. Love them... so will have to come back here with a link to that product that pleased instead of these... downgrade to a 2 star.

These Clipperton Roller Shower Curtain Rings are awesome! Anyone with a shower should have this set! This is one of those things that you generally don't think about, but it makes life a lot more convenient.The use of free-floating rolling balls have taken the traditional shower curtain ring design and improved it. Traditional rings overcome natural resistance with increased force, which means increased friction. Over time, this friction can wear parts down, plus it can sometimes be a pain to tug on that shower curtain only to have it get snagged or not budge (or worse, the pulling force results in the curtain popping out of a ring(s), or the whole bar just falling down.) The old rings I had were round plastic ones that constantly popped open, often got snagged up, and over time increased the size of the hole on the shower curtain. They took a lot of force to move, and on one occasion I pulled a little too hard and down came the whole enterprise. So I decided to give these a try.Using rollers, these rings greatly reduce the resistance and friction involved by introducing a free-floating part that rotates as it moves along the bar. It takes almost zero force to move the shower curtain, and it places less stress on the entire system (to avoid having to use force that could result in the entire thing falling down.) The construction of these are solid. The tapered design ensures that these are always positioned the same way, and helps prevent the curtain from popping out. The clip on the rings also prevents the curtain from popping out, plus it prevents snags or tears.I have the chrome version one, and have used it for about two years now. Despite frequent exposure to humidity and heat, there is not the single bit of corrosion or rust, showing that the metal being used is a very high-quality steel, and that the nickel coating is very durable. These are a good bit more than generic shower curtain rings, but their quality justifies the price. They make life a little more convenient, they can reduce wear, and they will last a lifetime.

I bought this product,  Heavy Duty - Polished Chrome Roller Shower Curtain Rings - Set of 12 RollerRingsTM  to facilitate smooth movement of a custom made accordion door that we are installing to close off a covered patio. Our plan is to make a similar closure for the carport. The rolling balls roll perfectly over the galvanized pipe rod. The closure is made of outdoor tarp with pockets to hold solid pine slats that fan-fold upon compression and open flat upon decompression. I explained all this because I read the reviews before purchasing this product and was hesitant about the sturdiness of the wire rings. This closure is a heavy construction [requires 2 people to support] that spans 9 feet and is ~8 feet tall. We had to created heavy duty grommets above each slat for the rings. These rings make the finished construction look professionally done, BUT the operation of the opening and closing is OUTSTANDING. The movement is almost frictionless and there is no "bunching up" of the rings. The closure has been in operation for about a week and operates flawlessly. So far, I have purchased 7 packages in three shipments. Each time the Seller has delivered the product within 3 business days! The price is fair and the FREE shipping is also outstanding. That makes the Seller a 5-Star merchandiser in my book!From my experience this product exceeds design requirements for a traditional OR heavy duty shower curtain installation. We are using 1/2" galvanized pipe, but they easily accommodate up to 1" pipe with no decline in operation. I will try and remember to update the durability of this product in an outdoor installation. I can say for now that I do not see any degradation of operation or wear on the trial outdoor installation that has been in operation for nearly 4 weeks.I highly recommend this product.

This seem well made and they look great. They match the rest of the bathroom fixtures.
