Santa Fe Kitchens: Delicious Recipes from the Southwest Hardcover – November 9, 2005

Without a doubt, this is my favorite cookbook for southwest-style cooking! I have around 100 cookbooks but none compare to this one. Beautiful pictures of homes and kitchens in Santa Fe and wonderful, unique recipes, which are all fairly easy to prepare. I use it constantly. Great for company dinners, too. You must buy this cookbook - you will love it!

Great recipes, lovely photos

I LOVE this cook book! The recipes are fantastic, just what the doctor ordered for this household and what I really like so much are the short and concise instructions on preparation. If you know what you are doing in the kitchen there is no need for lengthy detailed instructions on what to do and I appreciate this so much. I was drooling just reading the recipes. I cook with red and green chiles all the time and now I have a treasure trove of wonderful new recipes to add to my own.

This is a large book with beautiful art and photographs. There is an abundance of delicious recipes including Roasted Red Pepper and Artichoke Tapenade, Mango and Rum salad dressing, Breakfast Bread Pudding with orange syrup, Pueblo Green Chili Stew, Pinon Crusted Lamp Chops, Caramelized Onion Basil Bread, Chocolate Cherry Pecan Muffin Cakes, and a variety of soups and chilis.... It goes on and on.

It looks like one of those "decorative" cookbooks for people who don't really cook, but there are some quirky receipes as well as some down-home, traditional fare that are/is really good. Bill Richardson's Posole recipe is a winner, as is the Toas Turkey Soup. The Cowgirl Cookies are now my staple cookie.

This book does not seem to be currently in print and that's a shame. The book is beautifully illustrated and the recipes are unique to the area. I've tried a few and highly recommend.

This is a nice cookbook and has quite a bit of information and some great recipes easy reading....

I'm not a cook but the recipes definitely mouth watering from main courses to desserts and drinks. The art images are perfect for the subject with several of the Southwest artist who have been under the radar, highly recommended for the chef and artist.
