Good product with some caveats
My wife and I prefer to sleep in a cool room which makes crawling into bed a somewhat chilly affair. I tried electric mattress pads, but they leave too much residual heat in the mattress for me, though wife likes hers. So I thought I'd give this a try, mainly because of its length. The good: It appears to be very well made and of high quality. You can put nearly boiling water in it and the knitted cover prevents it from burning you or even being too hot against your skin. It also makes the heat last a VERY long time and if the water does get cold it doesn't cause you to jump out of bed if it gets against you. I tend to move it to the edge of the bed once I'm good and warm but move it back to the center to keep the bed warm when I get up to go to the bathroom or for a snack. The not so good: We don't have a single water tap in our house that allows me to fill it without placing the bottom end in the basin, be it tub or sink, which runs the risk of wetting the fabric cover, an unpleasant thing to put in your bed. I could fill it from the shower, but the risk of wetting the cover is even greater that way. I tried removing the cover once only and found that getting it back on with the bottle full was a bit of a pain, which actually discouraged using it at all. But I also discovered that I preferred the water to be hotter than our tap dispenses anyway. So I use a one quart/liter Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave to heat it until it is almost boiling. It takes a bit over 2 liters to fill it so I do it twice to fill it. Of course you must pour the scalding hot water in VERY carefully to avoid burns. I haven't had any issues with this as the cup has a very good spout but it is something I would not do if any distractions are present. When completely full I found the bottle to be somewhat awkward. It becomes round like a very large hot dog or sausage. But the edges all the way down the length protrude as ridges on both sides and are very firm, much thicker and more pronounced than an ordinary waterbottle has. I have discovered that, for me, it works best between half and two thirds full so that it will lay flat. However, when not filled completely, it does make very noticeable sloshing noises when moved even if you carefully get as much air out as you can. My wife has complained about the sloshing sound disturbing her. I still prefer not to fill it completely because it just works better that way so I try to be careful to keep the sloshing to a minimum, since she is a very light sleeper. The "soft" cover while giving good padding and insulation isn't really pleasant against the skin, feeling somewhat like an old time wool blanket minus the itch. My cover is the blue, gray, purple and white one but I'd bet any of the knitted covers feel the same.Having said all that, while it isn't perfect, it is very good and I will likely replace it with a similar one when it finally wears out. I've been toying with the idea of sewing up an old pillowcase to cover the knit cover and make it more pleasant against the skin.

Perfect for soothing
The cover works well to disperse the heat from the bottle to skin. The length is also ideal for reaching body parts on opposite sides. No need for two.

my new bed buddy
It is the perfect length and width...was worried it would be too big and use too much water....not the case at all. Stays hot too, made out of good material that doesn't stink!

Lovely material but warmth doesn’t last as long.
The quality feels great for both the plastic bag and the knitted sock ♥️This is my first ever hot water bottle, so I don’t know if it’s a general thing or just this product’s issue, but the warmth goes away pretty fast. I live in a cold city, so maybe it’s an additional factor.

Bottle was great and durable. Did not like the fuzzy cover.
The bottle is nice and seems sturdy. the fuzzy cover though seems to shed a lot of fuzz which was going all over the place and in the air. that was very annoying and was a concern, for which I have 3 stars for durability. Maybe a wollen cover would do better.

Too stiff for neck, but great for feet
I bought this expecting to be able to drape it over my neck, but the rubber is too stiff to bend comfortably around my neck. It's still gotten a lot of use- it is just the right shape to put under the covers at the foot of the bed to warm up feet.
