Love this tool and the the lock off on the base makes it easier to adjust

Disappointed with this one. The thinner arm is wider than the base, that means the measurements are not accurate. Also, the base is poorly made, it's curved toward the ends. It's a little rocky / banana shape. Even though its made in Japan, it rather looks and performs like it was made somewhere else. Had to send it back. Would be OK for general works, but not for anything that requires precision.

Good blade length and locking screw at a good price. The other bevels I’ve owned had screws which fed through the bevel with a butterfly to hold it. The 3 other bevels I’ve owned eventually came apart in my tote and I ended up losing the screw. This can’t happen with this one. Best bevel I’ve owned.

Such a simple product but Shinwa seem to be the only manufacturer who can design and build something that works properly without charging a king's ransom.

I bought this as a gift, it was supposed to be a "luxury tool" gift but the recipient was disappointed with it.The locking mechanism feels fragile like it will break after some use.It was supposed to be new but it arrived with a bent blade. Admittedly it was sold by a marketplace seller rather than Amazon, but was dispatched/delivered by Amazon.The recipient said that the cheap five quid bevels he already has are better.Amazon return process was easy.

Product is awesome, slight issue with postage costs, but was very quickly acknowledged without issue. Great customer service. Thank you!

Excellent sliding bevel and I've had a few as use one frequently, has a lock you can trust and locking mechanism that doesn't get in the way
