I bought this thing. It leaked, which I stopped after much futzing with...only to have the electrical short out *externally* at the connector-wire junction due to internal partitional leakage.don't waste your time or money.

first i ordered a 25 w uv sterilizer and you guys sent to me a 15 w .the item came without uv bulb and when i test it with a water,disaster,leak under and top.

Works great. I am using it to take the chlorine out of city water.

I bought this from marine depot on Jan 2017, didn't install until the end of the month. First night, the exit elbow outlet broke off and leaked all over my living room at 3am. It was a nightmare. I was able to fix it with a adapter from Lowes. 3 weeks later down the road, ballast and light bulb burn out all together. This is really a bad product and poorly engineered. I wish I had return it. Now I have been dealing with the manufacture and I have to be shipping everything in. I am stuck with it :(

The bottom of this piece of @#$@# starting leaking after about 6 months. I didn't have a separate shutoff. What a nightmare. The whole bottom fell off when I finally removed it from my system. Can't believe they can't do a better job than this for the price that they get. If you get this thing you're living dangerously. Have a shutoff for it. Lucky I was home when this happened.
