I would say overall it’s a fairly cheap looking imitation. I ordered the small for my 12 year old and it was way to small for him. He had it selected for a Halloween costume and then refused to wear it. He hated this hat.

Beautiful, but too large from my daughter.
I purchased the small, but it was too large for my 10 year old. It is very nicely made, however the strap on the bottom hung and was a bit messy because it was very long on my daughter. My daughter wore this as part of her Amelia Earhart presentation for school and we were hoping for this to double as a Halloween costume, but it was much too large. Great Aviator Leather Hat!
