Patons Classic Wool DK Yarn, 1.75 oz, Black, 1 Ball

This yarn is great. It's 100% wool and soft. HOWEVER, the primary description of this product would seem to indicate that you get 3 skeins. This is not the case. It is 1 skein. The 3 is referring to the gauge of the yarn only - it is Light number 3. I can buy this yarn for $6 per skein at the craft store so $9 is not a bargain.

I love this yarn which has become hard to find. I have been knitting with this product for at least 15 years. I used it this year to knit a small stuffed dragon. My issue is not with the product itself but that the skein had about a fourth of the yarn missing from it. This was obvious when I received it and I was barely able to finish a project which should have had left over yarn. If I had not been in a hurry to finish a gift, I would have returned it.

I gave it 4 stars because I wasnt to crazy about how little amount it was. I wasn't thinking correctly an was thinking it was a little more. Thats my fault but it does look like more in the picture. It is a good color an easy to work with. I do like the way it works up. I wish that it would have came with 2 or just been a bigger size but still a good product.

I assume that 100% wool is worth a bit more than acrylic yarn. The size of these skeins though is embarrassing. You'd be lucky if you could knit or crochet a few rows with this....But shame on me for not reading the reviews thoroughly....BUYER BEWARE....

I used this to make a BJD doll wig and it worked out so well. the hair quality worked for afro American hair. i simply rolled it into several locks around my finger, tied a piece around the middle and applied it to the handmade skullcap with glue.

The colours are pretty boss, heavy without sacrificing beauty. My brother loved his mitts. Fabric rendered is warm, strong, and not scratchy.The yarn splits easily, can be frustrating. Also fuzzes like no one's friend when wet blocking. Conditioner or Soak is necessary.

Shipment received and within an hour she was furiously knitting. She says the texture is lovely. Who am I to argue?

I expected a regular sized skein,but received a tiny one. Disappointed.

Lovely quality wool yarn.I know may people don't darn socks anymore, but if you have wool socks, it's worth the comfort and effort to take care of them as they get used and softer.I ordered this wool specifically for that reason in mind, as well as to make myself a small neck tube for winter wear. You can't go wrong with wool.
