Does not work with Pfsense
I've tried two of these barebones and neither of them worked. Turns out that the chipset that runs the NICs is Realtek which doesn't work well with Pfsense/FreeBSD.

Great little PC
Bought this to use as a pfSense firewall and so far it does great at this task. When adding this to my cart a Transcend 32GB mSATA SSD was recommended as an optional purchase - do NOT buy the Transcend SSD as it will not recognize it. I installed a 500GB 2.5" SATA laptop hard drive I had laying around and was able to fit it inside the case under the motherboard. The lid barely closed but so far so good. It has been doing its job.

Installing Ubuntu
I couldn't do it. After trying about six times. I would have given it another star at least if that had worked. I installed on another computer and then put the SSD in this box and it works great. The board stays around 38C. It's good hardware but I don't know about installing Windows. I think some kind of BIOS upgrade is in order.
