LaCrosse Alphaburly Pro 18" 1600 G boots are toasty warm.
LaCrosse Alphaburly Pro 18" 1600 G boots are great. They are toasty warm at 0 degrees F. I'm sure they will be plenty warm when the temp drops even more. Perfect for Northern MN working outside in the winter. The fit is good and there is room to wear fleece lined jeans tucked inside. They work well with jeans outside too when I don't want debris getting in, as long as the jeans have a wide enough cut. I got the Optifade Marsh because they were the best price at the time I ordered. My main reason for getting these was the 1600G insulation. I also have the green Alphaburly Pro without insulation and I didn't think they would be warm enough for the coldest part of winter, but they are great boots as well, lighter weight and very comfortable. My LaCrosse Ice Man are warm but they're so heavy I don't like wearing them while I'm moving about much, however, they'd be perfect for ice fishing. I'm happy I purchased these. The 18" height helps keep my lower legs warm and will keep snow out and my pants dry.

Bought with open mind and exceeded expectations
my feet stay extremely warm and have never gotten wet. I got a size bigger for winter to double up socks. At first I didn't like how tall they were until I went knee deep in a creek and still didn't get wet. The traction on them are also great as I walk steep banks at times that are rocks, gravel, dirt, sand and sticks. Every boot is different so you cannot expect to get something different and it be the same as you had otherwise why buy different? They fit very nice with a thick pair of socks or even better snug with 2 pair of socks on. They are worth the money. I wear these -50 to under 40. Over 40 they are too hot most the time.

Good quality boots
Good quality boots. I have worn them on several hunts in the woods here in Alaska. They are warm and comfortable. They are hard to get on the first few times wearing them, but they eventually wear in well. The camoflauge pattern is cool, but after prolonged hiking through the pucker brush the camo started wearing off from the boot on the front. Not a big deal in my opinion. The upper fabric part is susceptible to getting torn by sharp sticks. I repaired a gouge from a stick in the upper part of the boot. I have worn these for one season. They work well, my only wish is that they could be a little bit lighter weight. They are heavy after trudging around in them all day. They have an excellent tread pattern to keep you from slipping on slick stuff. I have not lost my footing once while wearing them. My buddies that wear xtra tuffs are always slipping.

Nice boot. SIZE 12
Nice boot. SIZE 12. First time I put these on I had an ankle sock on. BIG MISTAKE. The way these are designed is to fit around the ankles to keep you from walking out of the boot. I took them for a walk heated them up a bit and with the comfortable foam surrounding the ankles and calf, I tried taking them off and with the ankle in closure I couldn't get them off because of the strong bridge and not enough sock on my leg, I couldn't get my foot out of the cavity. I had to get help to remove them. I was a little leary about putting a thicker sock on and putting them back on. Oh what a difference it was.these are nice form fitting boots. I was now in them for an hour sat down and took them off myself. I like how you can tighten up the back of the boot and have a clip for the remainder of the strap to tuck in. what's also nice is how you can tuck a thick pair of pant legs inside and strap down. Sturdy well made boots. I hope this post helps.

Best boots I have ever owned for hunting
My entire life I have only worn lace up boots, bought a new pair of Rocky boots for hunting and as much as I love my Rocky boots they just seemed to not be as warm as what I expected. I have chronically cold feet though. These Lacrosse are the best boot I have ever worn. I rarely wear anything but a rubber boot now in the woods or even yard work. I wear between a 10.5 or 11 shoe and bought an 11 in these even though I was concerned about them fitting large, they came in and I tried them on and they were perfect. Even if i need to double up on the heavy duty wool socks in the middle of winter these fit perfect. I actually don't know how the boots do it because here in southern Virginia we will have some very cold mornings and warmer afternoons. Make sure to bring extra socks because your feet will sweat but they are not uncomfortable even in the warmer temps.

Even with the bulk they are surprisingly comfortable and do not feel to heavy
I already had the alpha burly pro uninsulated but found my feet were getting cold in weather below 50 degrees. The boots are very bulky and make your feet look gigantic. Even with the bulk they are surprisingly comfortable and do not feel to heavy. They are very warm and with a good pair of heavy socks will keep your feet from getting cold in below freezing temps. With the unisulated pair you could feel cold water through the boot within a minute or two, but with these boots you do not feel a thing. I usually wear a size 11 shoe and ordered an 11, they fit great. There is no heel kick which is annoying but I have no problem taking them on and off. My biggest complaint is that the insulation is only in the foot part and does not go above the ankle. Above the ankle feels the same as my uninsulated pair. Overall they are a great boot. I can wear them ice fishing all day and my feet stay warm. Lacrosse makes quality products.

Great boots!
These boots are slightly large, felt a little strange at first but I got used to them pretty quick. I bought these back in September and only wore them opening gun deer season in northern Wisconsin for the first time. Mornings were in the upper teens this year so not too bad. My feet get cold very easily but not with these. Paired with my heavyweight darn tough socks my feet were warm and actually sweating after sitting for 5 hours. I'm extremely impressed with the performance of these boots and they're far lighter than my old rocky boots that I swore by for over 12 years. Highly recommend!

Decent so far...
I'm a hunter and avid outdoors man. I usually wear $50 Canadian Tire Kamik's, but decided to try and see if more expensive boots are worth the money.I bought size 10 and they fit perfectly at the toe, I usually have a bit more room for thicker socks. I'm a skinny guy with long, narrow feet. I'd recommend a size up if you're a big guy. They do look like space boots on me.I've tested these in up to -18C. They are decently warm when moving, but my feet still get cold when sitting too long. They are good and waterproof...tested them up to 16" of the 18" boot.Mobility is decent in a boot of this height and weight, they are comfortable in the sole and have good tread for ice and snow.My big complaint on them is taking them off! Not an easy task. I've developed a two handed pull and twist motion. Couldn't imagine what a big guy would do to get these off.Overall, they're a good sturdy boot with some decent weight to them and slightly awkward look. They cover the necessities of warm and dry, and to me that's #1.If they last 5 years, they're worth it.

Solid hunting boot so far
After my Irish Setter Rutmasters wore out I wanted a similar replacement. I’ve read too many reviews describing how that boot’s quality and durability have tanked in the past few years so looked for an alternative. Canadian Tire and Cabela’s brands are ok but don’t last either. At 1/2 to 1/3 if the price why would they? These Lacrosse boots seem to fit the bill and the reviews were positive. They fit as expected: I’m a 11.5/ 45 EUR and bought the 12s... they fit slightly big but are still ok to walk distance. I would say they’re on the wider side. My only and very slight criticism so far is the stiffness in the upper heel area; Rutmasters had neoprene in this spot so were more comfortable, but that’s also an area that sprang a leak as the boot aged. So I’m optimistic about this boot. For the price I have high expectations... $210 on sale

So far so good
Took forever for them to arrive which is a negative but that has nothing to do with the bootsI usually fit a 12. But read to order 1 size smaller. Perfect fit. Pushed and blew snow for hours yesterday....feet were very warmSo far so good. Boots can get a little slick coming from outside to garage. Other then that very happy with the boots

Sizing is important if wearing sock layers and/or boot warmers when hunting!!!
This is only about the size because I have not used them and could not get a 10 in this model so I had to purchase the Lacrosse 4Xburly 1200 g size 10, which I am waiting for.I wear size 9. Got a size 9 in these boots and they were perfect BUT I forgot about the fact that if I had 2 pairs of socks and/or a foot/boot heat patch that I wanted to add.....well that is where the problems start. They were now to tight and I could not wiggle my toes.If you are going to wear one pair of socks, you will be able to wiggle your toes a little. OK if you walk a lot when hunting but if you don not move and need to add a few layers on your feet and/or in your boot, you will need a size hire like a 10. I even think a 9.5 would of been ok but they did not have half sizes.

Nice looking panic boots
I wear a size 11 shoe for pretty much everything I ordered these boots in a size 12 based off of some reviews online claiming them to be on the small side, that's not true. Order the size you normally wear. The boots are on the heavy side and are bulky. The ankle lock works great but taking them off is the problem this is where panic mode sets in it took all of my force to take the boot off and doing it was pretty awkward if you can imagine. I do not recommend these boots to a diabetic or someone that gets swollen feet. I don't think you would be able to pop them off without having to cut them. I wore no socks at the time so you can only imagine what it might be like with socks on. The size 12 I had has an inch/ inch and a half of room. This is not a old mans boot that's for sure maybe best suited for a young buck with lots of strength. I couldn't pop them off on a chair I had to sit on the floor lol.
