Hate to tie on the hook, this is wonderful, keeps me from sticking myself. Did find them cheaper elsewhere.

The HOOK-EZE makes tying the improved clinch knot a breeze. And, no more poking my finger! They are also wonderful for transporting and storing your rods when you leave the hook tied on...I know I should be re-tying every time, but I don't. I primarily fish with 3/0 and 4/0 hooks and both work fine. I transport my rods in my trunk and through the back seat. Now the hooks won't be catching on the seat fabric.The are two basic pieces: the plastic hook holder and the open ring. Open the hook holder and you find slots for a couple of different size hooks. The hinge is part of the molded plastic. This is probably better than having a metal pin for the hinge as they would be subject to rust and bending. Time will tell if the molded plastic hinge is durable - I think it will. On the back of the holder is a line cutter that worked just fine with the 8 to 20 lb. line I tried it on.The ring is spring metal with an opening to hook it on your rod for storage or your finger when tying knots. These two pieces come together (holder and ring) with a swivel. You can look at the seller's pictures to see how to use it. Tying the improved clinch knot couldn't be easier. And...did I mention...you won't stick your finger with the hook!They are not inexpensive, but they are a well made product and still quite new in the market. With free shipping, I think they are a good value.

I saw a Hook-eze video that was posted on FB. Looked like a fairly easy way to tie knots for fishing. I have a different type of knot tieing device that works fairly well and is simple to use. I pondered whether or not if I should make the purchase but my intrique got the best of me and I made the purchase. No regrets at all! Hook-eze works everytime. I can even tie snap swivels with Hook-eze. My other knot device only tied hooks.

This is a really great idea!! I recently saw a video of this product posted on the Getting Outdoors w/ Big Daddy Lawler's Facebook Page. I had never heard of this product prior to this. I ordered these in pink and used them this past weekend when we were fishing with 4, 5 and 7 year olds along and I didn't have to constantly be worried about someone getting hooked or hooking myself while tying a hook or transporting our rods. My husband was very impressed with it as well and asked could he use one even though I ordered pink ones. Thank you HOOK-EZE for giving this mommy one less thing to worry about. No more hooked fingers!!! They come two to a pack and instructions for usage and hook tying are on the back and simple enough even for a first time fisherman.*I paid full price for this product and the opinions stated are based on mine or my family’s use of it.

We bought these to save us from injury when fishing. They work as expected and all in all they're a great idea. But...we found that opening them up is very difficult. I've broken a few of my fingernails trying to open the plastic tab. It's almost impossible to open without something to pry it, so that pretty much makes them useless to us. If they can be made easier to use, they would be the perfect addition to a tacklebox. There is even a tiny line cutter mounted on the back that really comes in handy when tying on hooks and it's very easy to handle even the most sharp hook with ease. The HOOK-EZE comes with a ring to attach to your rod so you have it whenever you need it. I'm going to try to see if I can wear the latch by opening and closing it multiple times to see if it gets easier because I really do think these are a great idea.

Super easy to use. I bought this for my boyfriend because he always complains about tying a book and then the hook will get caught to his pants or something like that. This way I don't have to worry about having the holes in his new clothes! I love this item I would definitely purchase again and I actually plan on buying a couple more of them for his other hooks he has.

I had seen these around on websites for years and never thought about getting them until my wife bought me a set and now I wonder how I managed without them. I have several poles with hooks exposed on my boat that could catch on anything including the dogs. Once these are attached I don't have to worry anymore, plus they make it a lot easier to connect to the rod and keep the line from getting loose. They have a line cutter which is super covenant. This size fits average hooks.
