Visconti Brown Ink Cartridges Refill

I purchase pods of this ink to give away with high end fountain pens that I make. The ink itself is smooth and of good quality, and dries fast enough for normal use, but not so fast that it clogs the feed and nib if the pen is not used for a few weeks. Lefties will probably want a faster drying ink to avoid smearing and smudges on their hand.I like that Visconti offers so many colors in their cartridge inks. Normally, one needs to buy ink in the bottle to find such a good range of colors. Bottled ink is fine (see the Pilot Iroshizuku series), but it can be messy and inconvenient. These cartridges let me pair an ink with the pen that is more personal than the standard black and blue inks. I like to match the ink to the recipient's eyes, or give them their favorite color.The brown color specifically is a great color. Often overlooked, this color is crisp on the page, but easily readable--easier than black or blue in my opinion. It is easy to find on a printed page the way that blue is, but offers a high contrast closer to black. It is also a nice match for pens made from wood and other brown materials.The ink is attractively packaged, and the pods make it easy and convenient to carry spares. The pod seals with a friction fit, secure, but not too tight. It is attractive enough that recipients often proudly display the ink next to the pen!

I thought I was smart and got different cartridges for my Visconti. Well, guess what, I clogged it. I use the brown color all the time to differentiate me from others....well, writing with fountain pen already differentiate me however I like the brown color on my writings.

I have been trying to find a nice quality ink that doesn't clog if left unused in the pen for a few days. Success! This is a really nice, very reasonably priced ink. The color isn't super rich and dark, but I like it.

Love this ink! It is gorgeous shade of Brown, which I LOVE! It flows nicely through the nib and dries quickly. The container is actually pretty cool, after you are done, it holds paperclips, tiny screws, etc. This is my new brand of ink for my Rose Gold Monteverde Fountain Pen. I love it!
