Exponentially better than artificial sweeteners.
Background: I suffer from absolutely crushing electrified feeling headaches when using artificial sweeteners like aspartame and saccharin. As such, I am always very weary of anything that markets itself as sugar that is not raw cane sugar. For reasons I don't care to disclose, I recently had to step away from natural cane sugar. This is what lead me to this product.Review: I've had stevia in the past and, as mentioned on this box, the after taste was pretty unpleasant. When I got this earlier today, the first thing I did was taste some right out of the packet. It was very very sweet with only a slight after taste. No where nearly as potent as plain stevia. I then used it to make some cold tea, which was very enjoyable after the addition of a little lemon juice. I wanted to test it in a cooked dish, and used it as a sugar replacement in a teriyaki sauce recipe as part of "chinese chicken sticks". I was greatly surprised when it actually worked wonderfully. Again, there is a slight after taste, but nothing terrible. I waited for several hours for any signs of headache, since artificial sweeteners affect me within 20-30 minutes. It never came.Summary: This product met and surpassed my expectations, though to be fair my expectations were pretty low due to past misfortune with sweeteners. I will, however, definitely be buying more when these boxes run out. As an added bonus, my mother has decided to replace her aspartame sweetener with Naturevia.Aside: I'm now curious if the liquid version performs any better, and will likely be trying that version as well.
