While you "can" use this with Olympic plates, it would be better if the flange at the bottom was just a bit bigger. It BARELY fits an Olympic plate. I ordered it because I have plates with both the 1" and 2" center hole. I just put a 2# plate under my 45's. It'll do.

I bought this to replace the pathetic triceps pressdown/ lat pulldown module that was part of my home gym complex, whose cable was thin, too short, and had a flimsy wheel. Not so this kit. The cable is thick, plenty long to accommodate any home gym and is quite adjustable, and the whole setup is solid and moves very smoothly.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’ve started piecing together my own home gym and this was a great addition! Seems very sturdy and I finally have the option for pull downs again!
