Nice reel. I got the 5000 series and matched it with an 11ft surf rod and 40lb braided line. Hooked and landed 25 fish from the surf the first weekend out. Biggest was about 10lbs. Lots of capacity, a decent amount of drag and a really good price.

I just got this reel in today, very smooth, quiet, and nice looking. {Especially for the price!}I'm giving 5 stars now as I am more than pleased with it, I will add any comments later after it is used.

Smooth and strong
I did not expect this reel to perform smoothly and easy because the price is not expensive but I used it last month and I caught a couple of pompanos almost 2 pounds each and some other fish. The reel is smooth and strong.
