If you run a healthcare practice, buy this book to ensure your practice is a long-term success
My father was a doctor, with 25 years of private practice. I watched how he struggled, got taken advantage of, and worked like crazy to make sure his practice was profitable so that he could feed his wife and four children.I wish this book had been available when my dad was practicing. It would have changed how he approached business, because no one taught him how to run his office. He had to figure it out himself with the help of equally clueless staff, fellow doctors, a CPA, and a lawyer -- each of whom barely knew how to run their own business. It would have saved him much grief and cash because he paid the "stupid tax," (not that he was stupid -- far from it) by not knowing how to best operate his business.Instead of making all the mistakes on your own, let Dr Paul show you how to conduct business so that you don't have to worry about the business operation so that you can focus on healing your patients and clients. My favorite portion of the book: how to forecast (see the picture). Without this toolset, you'll never make the right business investment or expansion plans, which drives most healthcare professionals to the banker to get bailed out. It drove my Dad crazy to see his colleagues borrow money to pay their taxes because they didn't properly plan expenditures.Buy the book. Read it. Refer often to it. Reap the rewards of business acumen to complement your healthcare acumen.

A must read
I just wish I knew someone like Dr.Pavlik when I started my practice. I was a lost soul when it came to the business end of running a dental l office. This book gives you a road map to success in every aspect of your professional career. It takes work and dedication to set up practice the proper way. In the long run doing right will make your life easier then a seat of the pants method done by so many professionals including myself . Dr Pavlik shows you a step by step method from implemention to effectively managing your practice and finally selling it. This manual should be a must read in all healthcare learning institutions . It’s a shame we professionals are so ill equipped to run a business and have to go through years of mistakes before finding a better way. Dr.Pavlik has the betterway. Dr Pavlik has dedicated his life to making life easier and more fulfilling for the health care professionals and this book is a culmination of decades worth of experiences and hard work.Vic Gregor DMD

THE Soup-to-Nuts Entrepreneurial Roadmap for Healthcare Pros
"Business Essentials for Healthcare Professionals" provides a soup-to-nuts entrepreneurial roadmap that most healthcare pros have for too long been expected to figure out for themselves.=> If you've been flying by the seat of your pants, this book provides the beginning of your remedy.=> If you've been more strategic, this book will quickly illuminate the blind spots you didn't know were holding you back (or you hoped you could get away with ignoring).I am having every healthcare professional I mentor place Dr. Pavlik's book at the top of their reading stack, and that's why I took this photo of myself with the book. I highly recommend that YOU put this book at the top of your reading stack too.~ Dr. David Gruder, PhD | President, Integrity Culture Systems™ | Executive Director, CIHS Center for Integral Leadership

Leadership Strategies from the Practice World...that work well in a growing business
While I'm not a practice owner or doctor, I work with a lot of growing practices by helping them drive demand. As we drive demand and work to scale these businesses up, the leadership who can grow and continue to raise themselves to newer levels tend to have thriving practices, while the ones who can't grow as leaders tend to burn out and level off, if not shrink in size.Dr. Paul's leadership section in this book was a breath of fresh air and had gems of wisdom that not only work in the practice environment, but are valuable in any growing business.

An Essential Tool!
This book is essential to the toolbox of anyone entering the healthcare field. It is NEVER too early to get this book in your hands, and even as a first year dental student, I will constantly read, re-read, and highlight. The beauty of Dr. Pavlik’s book is that he touched on every detail of what you want to, and need to, know about running and managing your own practice. This information is not taught in school!! Unlike many other books, this one is not just dense blocks of text, but instead provides great charts and examples.
