VW Touareg 04 -08 Wheel Center Hub Cap 7L6 601 149

Listed as a "fit for 2004 VW Touareg with stock tires". Just got the caps in the mail today, by just looking at them I could tell they wouldn't fit (too small!!) and voila! They, in fact, did not fit!!Pictures attached: one to show tire size, actual cap size and comparison between the two caps. Notice the size difference????

I would really like to return these but I don't have the energy and it was so long ago but I've now just had them sitting in my car for I don't even know how many months because nobody I come across can fit them into my Volkswagen Touareg they are plastic and although they read as the correct number I believe that they must be a knockoff I've tried everything even warming them up to get them to fit in. I actually damaged two of them trying to hammer them in with a rubber mallet they're just cheesy cheap knock-offs which I'm actually fine with if they freaking fit!!!

My picky teenager had these center hub things come off her wheels and life as we know it would cease to exist unless I was able to find and replace the perfect center hub. With fear and trepidation I ordered these hubs and got on my hands and knees and prayed I had not screwed it up again, knowing that I've not got a clue what I'm doing nor do I understand anything, I just prayed. The package came and the look in her eyes said everything. Nervously, I watched her go outside to her perfectly hub less car and she played around for about 15 minutes, I was sure that I had indeed messed things up again and made her life miserable. She walked back in the house talking on her phone, she paused, looked at me and said, "they're perfect daddy, thank you."

For those wondering if they will fit on your vehicle. I own a 2005 T1 Touareg with 18" wheels. They fit like a glove and the part# was the same as the original caps.If you are wondering how to get the old cap off. Just take a dry wall screw and place it in the middle. I think my screw was the 1.5". I left enough screw to grab with pliers. They popped right off. Took about 15 minutes total, as I am slow.They make the vehicle look as intended and really shines well.

Despite the reviews, I decided to take a chance. These are NOT idential in size to the 7L6-601-149 center cap found on the 18 inch wheels of my 2004 Touareg V8.I did confirm that my damaged OEM center cap is labeled with this part number, but these center caps are way too small. The part number listed here is wrong!

2007 VW Touareg V10 TDI - perfect fit! Shipping time was garbage. That’s what happens when stuff is shipped through USPS, though.

Not much to say beyond the headline. Somewhere along the way, I lost the original center hub cap from my Treg, and these replacements fit perfectly and were indistinguishable from the original VW equipment.

First set was the wrong size but the 59mm fit my 2006 VW Toaureg perfect

The plastic clips on center hub cap all broked when I tried to install on the wheels. I had to remove the new VW faces and glue them on my old wheel caps.Very disappointed with this buy.
