Optivizor Regular Snout UV (Clear or Dark) Medical or Preventative Eye/Face Protection (Goggles/Sunglasses/Visor) for Dogs

I first bought the large size thinking this will fit my Schnauzer but ended up returning them. Then I bought the medium still was too big for my Schnauzer. At the time I figured the size based on seller size chart but I neglected to consider the weight. Because of the time difference from Hawaii I wasn't able to call the manufacturer to get the precise size for my dog. So when I finally able to call and spoke to one of their customer service, they were very understanding and accommodating returning the 2 sizes. The only draw back is I had to pay shipping cost not only for the purchases but for the return as well. I finally have the actual size for my standard Schnauzer which is small. I am so glad to have purchase this. We originally bought a Halo for my blind dog but the Halo keeps moving from side to side and unable to stay in place. The visor is really the best investment so far. It keeps my blind Schnauzer from bumping his head around the house, during our walks and in the park. I like the part that the Velcro keeps the visor from moving and the Velcro that straps under the chin helps support his face. My Schnauzer can eat and drink while having the visor it also didn't take him long to get used to them. So I think he is much happier now.

I measured my dog's head (small weimeraner) and this visor was still too big. She's pretty bendy and was able to wriggle her way out of it no matter how tight I tried to make it. Her neck is really long and thin, too, so that could be part of the problem. Had it fit her head correctly, I definitely think it would have worked to keep her from scratching her eye. Her eye was nearly healed by the time I received this, so we just stuck it out with the cone of shame a while longer. Overall, a good concept and if you get the right fit, I think it would be much less stressful to the dog than the cone.

Great eye and face protection that fits well, is lightweight and amazingly, is well tolerated by our "spirited" chiweenie, Ruby. Ruby developed sudden, total blindness this year making eye and head protection a necessity to prevent injury and infection, especially outdoors and when traveling. We did not have success with other protective gear due to fitting and comfort issues, so we were excited to find and try the OptiVizor, which offers various ways to adjust fit for comfort, while providing total protection to eyes, face and snout.We rate our experience thus far as a great success! By following their specific ordering instructions, you have a greater chance of success with the OptiVizor. Ruby has always been a hard-to-fit mixed breed - Dachshund/Chihuahua - with a larger body and smaller head. By measurement and photos, it was recommended that we order a small. Once received it became clear that the small would not work, even with adjustments. We contacted Pet Solutions for their expert advice, providing photos for their review. They agreed that the toy size was needed. We ordered the toy size and it has worked beautifully with small adjustments. We returned the small and have received a full refund. Paying for return shipping on this unique item was a non-issue for us considering the reasonable price of the device and the excellent support we received from Pet Solutions. This has been a positive experience and we would highly recommend giving the OptiVizor, and this vendor, a try!

Loved this mask and wanted it to work sooo badly. I have a terrier who has difficulty with eye injuries and frequently has to wear a cone. This visor allows her to clearly see; no more ramming her cone into stuff, it looks super cool and the chin and neck strap securely fits. The problem is, all the strap connections are on the inside and they aren't smooth. So when she torpedoed her face on the floor, she scratched her eye up and I had to put her back in a cone to finish healing.

It’s a good idea. It’s even a good design. The sad thing is they make it out of cheap thin plastic straps it didn’t last five minutes and my dog didn’t even try very hard to get out of it so I’m hoping for a full refund plus shipping good idea wish they made it with better material

This will be perfect for my Shar Pei who has cherry eye and will be having surgery in 4 weeks. I didn't opt for the 'snub nose' style as I figured if this was too long, I would just cut off 1/2" or so. She is 50lbs and I ordered the Sm/Med and it seems to fit well. If your dog is having other surgery, I am not sure this will protect the dog from licking another incision but I am not sure.

My dog had eye surgery so this seemed like the perfect solution to keep his eye covered. The size was right, the chin straps were snug so it all looked right. However when I turned around, my dog yanked it out because the plastic straps on the side come undone very easily. Good thing I was close because he could have messed his eye surgery!!!

This thing is amazing. Chloe was having seizure after seizure outside when the sun was out, now nothing! She is enjoying the outside again!! So stinking happy about this!!! Excellent product. Just remember to let them help you with the measurements. Send photos and measurements to the seller to get a working product!
