Check it before you're left in the cold.
As a pipefitter I'm familiar with this brand and also this particular level. I just got a new one the other day and noticed excessive radial play between the body and the dial. I grabbed my Curv-O-Mark centering head and removed the dial so I could install it in this level and determine if it was the body or the dial that was causing the issue. When I tried to remove the dial from the brand new level the screw broke! I grabbed a nut and screwed it on to the broken end and tig tacked it. I grabbed a ratchet and tried to unscrew it and it broke again!!! No bueno. I'm not going to drill and retap a brand new level when I can return it. If you purchase one of these, make sure the screw will come out immediately after opening the box. You might need to replace the dial someday and probably don't want to find out that the screw was cross threaded or galled after the return/warranty period has expired.
