I had been having battery charge issues with my Toro Timecutter SS4225 for a couple of years. I really thought I was going to have to take it to the shop for repair, but decided to try replacing the solenoid first. This solved the charging issue, and my ZTR has been problem free ever since! Identical replacement markings to the OEM part for less money.

Literally took five minutes to install and part of that time was finding the correct wrench. Works like it should. Have had it on now for a few months and still working great. Highly reccomend.

It works like a charm. Fits a toro time cutter 4235. Now that I replaced it and I still have the issue I guess I'm gonna work on this starter next :) Was a perfect slot fit,just different wire mount, but better. Just slid right on instead of being screwed in

It worked fine after I installed it, for a couple of starts. Thinking it was good I didn't try again for a few weeks because this time of year I only start my tractor to move it out of the way. After starting it a couple weeks later this solenoid stuck on and kept the tractor starter engaged after the engine was running. I had to frantically disconnect the battery to keep from damaging my tractor. Had I not been able to do that rather quickly, I suspect my tractor would have been seriously damaged or even worse, caused a fire in my barn. I contacted the seller but never received a reply. I would not recommend this contactor.
