Vivid and Winsome Illustrations of a Classic Tale ~ Made in the U.S.
This is a paperback book at an inexpensive price of the classic ugly duckling story. This story promotes the idea it's okay to be different, and different is beautiful. The illustrations are vivid and colorful. The story is probably best for children 4-7 years old. This book is made in the U.S. which is great to promote U.S. jobs, and to return manufacturing to our country which we need.I found the illustrations winsome and of interest. This story went into more detail than I remembered, but it wasn't overly long. It's a slim, light book so great for packing in a backpack or in the pocket behind seats in the car.The message teaches that just wait to find your potential. If you're going through a rough time, better days are ahead.

Good Low Price Classic Book
For the price point, this is a decent quality, colorful book, of the classes ugly duckling story. My 6 year old likes to read real stories in real books to his younger brother. Purchase this to either get your order up to $25 for free shipping or as a stand-alone with no-rush shipping to get the $1+ bonus and it becomes an even better deal. The story is decently written, nothing incredible. The book won’t become an heirloom piece, probably just lasting a couple years with use. But for a classroom or home hcildren’s Library, this is perfect.

A Classic !
I do not know of any child who would not like a story like the Ugly Duckling - simple, meaningful. What this book is to give it some nice colors, beautiful pictures throughout the book.I find the story telling is not very uniform, but again - for a small kid, the pictures are more important than the words, it is for the adult to read and tell the story

Easy to hold and good version of story
This is a nice paper version with bright pictures of the familiar ugly duckling tale. It is a good value for a read aloud book that is easy to hold and share. The whole series is a pleasure to share.

new life to a great classic
Beautiful illustrations and a wonderful story to read to my son at night, which never fails to get me teary eyed. I love this brand of books, which seems to be renewing the classics. The series is inexpensive and features favorites from my childhood. My 5 year old wanted me to take time reading each page so he could look at each picture... overall, he enjoyed the story.
