Duracell MN21B2PK Watch/Electronic/Keyless Entry Battery, 12 Volt Alkaline

Recently got a remote to turn my sump pump on and off, so I don't have to crawl under my crawl space. The remote takes these specialized A23 batteries. Reading reviews online, Duracell seemed like the most reliable brand and is supposed to have a 5 year shelf life. When I got these, it looks like these must have been sitting in storage for 2 years already since the date on the battery is March 2023 (Currently Jan 2020). I would not recommend buying from Vine line in the future, if they are going still sell 2 year old batteries.

I chose this supplier because the product was advertised as having the new Duracell packaging and I expected the use-by date to be further out in the future. Only need to replace this battery once every 2 years. The product I received was in the old Duracell packaging and the use by date was 2023. Will not use this supplier again for my battery needs.

I received a beat up package of Duracell batteries that were older. They expire in March of 2023. Less than three years from now. Most new Duracell batteries have a shelf life of 10 years. These were on the shelf for a long time. I would considering sending them back but it appear I would be responsible for the return shipping and its not worth it due to the overall cost of the batteries. My loss.

Duracell batteries used to be my favorite, but after many leaks from Duracell ruining my products, I have become very leary of them. I won't leave any brand of battery in my devices that I use just seldomly. Too scared they will leak.

One was a dud, never worked. The other one worked weakly for a couple of months. I'm going to buy them somewhere else from now on.

Please replace one dead battery. Please resend and ai I will retutn. As one battery tested istotally dead.Please adviseLynn

I had my doubts --- as with all batteries, but thank goodness this one worked. Couldn't get into my garage without the remote in operating condition. Don't know how long the battery will last, but you do get two in a pack.
