M48 Wire Saw

Just tried it out on cutting a dried piece of wood l exspected it to cut better than it did.

Hard to believe that such a simple tool can be so efficient. It cuts just as well or even better than a regular hand saw. The advantage being that you can roll it up and store it in a 4X4 plastic baggie and carry it in your pocket. Great concept.

I used this saw to cut off three dead tree branches (about 4 inches in diameter) and it worked perfectly. The packaging says that this saw can cut through metal as well. So, yesterday, I broke a bolt off in my car and tried using this saw to cut the bolt in half (1/8 " diameter bolt). No more than 5 seconds into cutting at the bolt, the wire on this saw snapped in half. I wasn't putting a ton of force into it either.I don't have any other products to compare this to but I would suggest sticking to cutting wood with this saw.
