Before going vegan, I was a cheese snob. After becoming vegan, the hardest thing is finding *anything* that resembles cheese. Closest was Chaos but it doesn’t have a specific flavor.THIS IS AMAZING. It’s not a real Gouda, of course, but smoked Gouda was actually one of my favorite cheeses pre-vegan. This gave me the “taste” without the dairy. I’m really really impressed (hard to do). The melt was super creamy.Made a “egg McMuffin” vegan version. English muffins, Beyond Meat sausage Pattie’s, Just Egg frozen folded egg and this cheese. DELICIOUS!! The cheese really made it superb!Bravo Whole Foods 365. Whoever was your food scientist on this one, give them a raise! They’ve surpassed every other vegan cheese company who has tried for decades to get it right. YOU DID IT! Yummo.

This was very good
I only started my road to becoming vegan shortly after Memorial day 2020. I am a HUGE cheese fan and was looking for a vegan cheese that had a kick to it, melted well and a good taste. When I saw this, I decided to try. I read some reviews saying that this did not have the taste of gouda. I have to disagree. This cheese smells like smoked gouda and tastes like it as well. I put a slice of it on a veggie burger and had it on an english muffin. It melts very well. It actually tastes better when it is melted. I fully enjoyed it . Everyone's taste buds are different, so try it for yourself. If you do not like it, ok. At least you tried it. Oh, and by the way, I went back to try and order some more. Guess what?? It's not available. :)

God it’s just so delicious.

Good smokey flavor
Tastes great and has nice smokey flavor. The texture is a bit rubbery when it is cold, but melts great. Would buy again.

365 pulled it off!
I rec'd this Gouda (smoked, my fav) yesterday. I had it on a sandwich with mayo and lettuce. Just wanted to taste the cheese. I loved it. Tasted like smoked gouda! I was so relieved because I just finished a cheddar from another brand that smelled like baby vomit, tasted like crap and didn't melt. 365 got it right...taste AND price. Really, only 75 cents more than real gouda in a pkg.I'm a happy, just gone vegan!

YUM!
Tasty, slightly smoky flavor, it melts. What else can you ask for? Adds that little bit of richness you can't always get on a plant-based diet. Not health food, but a deliscious treat. Yum.

Not exactly Gouda, but as plant-based cheeses go, it is pretty dang close!
no vegan cheeses will ever be exactly cheese, but this is possibly the best sliced vegan cheese I have ever had! I make ""McMuffins" using vegan English muffins, Beyond breakfast sausage, and Just Egg, that I cook in the pan in a little egg ring... melt the 365 Vegan Gouda over the sausage, and place on top of the cooked egg between the toasted English muffin slices.... HEAVEN!!! The texture of this brand even closely mimics melted cheese (some brands get too stretchy and rubbery). Sometimes, bits of the cheese melt over to the pan and start to overcook, and harden/crisp- almost like real cheese, and those bits are just an extra special treat!

Stop giving flavors to vegan cheese if it doesn't taste like that cheese
After being vegan for 10 years, I've probable tried every kind of vegan cheese out there. Only one brand (Bute island Sheese) ever got it right (Daiya gets close...but also misses the mark). To be clear, this cheese IS tasty. Does it taste like gouda? Not even a little bit.I left the open package in my fridge overnight, and it definitely got CLOSER to a gouda taste/smell, but still...it't not gouda. Maybe a mild Swiss? I dunno. But not gouda. That all said, it does melt nicely. I put this & some nutritional yeast (along w/fresh baby spinach, sliced avocado, & a smattering of black beans) on some sourdough, and made a pretty awesome grilled cheese. But don't expect gouda.
