Truly useful resource for everday ministry
This is a copy of a letter I wrote to Sharon Pearson, editor:Dear Ms. Pearson,I received my copy of The Prayer Book Guide to Christian Education, Third Edition yesterday and I am ecstatic. I have been reading through your blog this morning since I got home from church and it has just added to my joy. The book, with its emphasis on living out the Baptismal Covenant, is a welcomed resource. It is an extension of instruction I received from The Reverend J. Fletcher Lowe, during my first year of Postulancy, in Social Ministry class. I plan to use this book as I minister in the community as an advocate for the poor, mentally ill, and at-risk children and families when I teach life skills along with Bible study. Also, it will be useful as I minister within my home parish as a teacher, preacher and as a pastoral counselor. My vocations are law and conflict resolution. This is an exciting resource that I found via amazon.com while looking for materials to use for planning an Epiphany quiet day for Daughters of the King. I wish I had learned of it sooner. I am definitely going to share it with the members of my cohort. You have my appreciation. Please share it with Rev. Szoke.Emmetri Monica Beane, MS, JD
