This is my 2nd unit. The 1st one has been running perfectly for several years. The second unit I installed had some issues and when I contact the company they immediately handled the issues and even sent me an upgraded unit.Fantastic product and support!

Seeding a lawn during the summer is hard -- this device makes the job much easier. Used in the 'Soil Moisture' mode with an oscillating sprinkler, its sensor keeps the ground constantly moist day or night, rain or shine. It's easy to program (full instructions are online) and monitor. You might, however, want the available 30' sensor extension cable (perfect for my yard).

Instructions are awful. . They don't exist. . Nothing on set up... tubing. . Fittings. How the panel works? What the heck? Read other models and they were sent complete instructions. . Figured they would come with this model. .. useless if I can't use it. . I can't rate the item because I cave use it because vendor have NO instructions! !

I have the same unit but with the AC power unit. I don't understand the other reviewer's comment about the control panel. I found it very straightforward and easy to use. The instructions tell you how to set up the unit itself, not install a drip system. I love the sensor. It comes preset to turn on when the moisture level drops to 20% and to turn off when it hits 40%. It also continually tells you what the current % moisture is so you can tell about when it is going to turn on. I was all prepared to adjust it, but the default settings seem perfect for my tropical arboretum. I've only had it a short time so I can't speak to its durability. Another nice thing is the cords are well shielded from moisture and they are long.
