CocowebSLED16AB Tru-Slim LED Picture Light, 16", Antique Brass

The light fixture itself seems pretty good. I did hook it up and plugged it in just to try the light. It is very nice - bright and the dimmer works real well. I haven't hooked it up yet, so I don't know how it will be on my actual picture. There is one BIG problem, though. When I built my house I knew that this picture would go on my wall, so I had the electrician put in a recessed electrical fixture. It had only one outlet in the middle of the fixture. But guess what. The plug that comes with this light is a transformer plug and it will NOT fit in my outlet. So I went and bought a 2 outlet plug thinking the plug would fit in that. My friend said he would come over and rewire it for me. But guess what! It STILL won't fit!!! The plug is too big. I wonder if the company is aware of this. I've searched everywhere to find a bigger recessed fixture but to no avail. What I am going to have to do, is cut away the bottom part of the outlet box so the plug and wire can fit in. What a hassle. That means the bottom screw for the outlet will not be able to go in but I think this will be okay as I don't plan on plugging and unplugging the light at all. This design defect is why I have rated it as a 3 only. I hope the company will address this issue in the very near future.

My wife and I are very pleased with this picture light! We are using if to highlight a portrait which is approx. 31 X 42". The design & quality appear to be excellent. The instructions were simple and reasonably straightforward. Our frame is wood and we installed the lamp on the frame. Hardware in included for wall mounting or metal frames. The light spectrum is daylight. The on/off switch is on the frame with the LEDs and easy to use. There is a small dimmer control in line with the power cord. I ended up "Velcroing" that to the underside of the table under the portrait in an easy to reach location. Although the company sells a light without a dimmer, I recommend getting the full package. We found that the brightness at full power was a bit too much for the room and tended to overpower the other lighted portrait & wall hanging in the room. Another interesting factor we discovered is that the other table lamps and portrait lights were warmer in light spectrum, giving a bit of a mismatched impression. We changed the lamps to Reveal daylight spectrum bulbs and turned down the new LED picture light a bit and all seems much better. The portrait has vivid colors and the light makes them really "pop out" to the observer. We anticipate many years of enjoyment with the portrait & picture light!

The dimmer on my unit stopped working at about one year. I contacted Cocoweb and they immediately sent out a new one. However, they sent me the wrong dimmer (a 24v instead of the 6v I needed). I contacted them again, and after submitting pictures of the light strip, they agreed to send another one. This time, I received a transformer instead of a dimmer. I’ll contact them again and see if the third time is the charm. It’s disappointing the dimmer only lasted a year (this is not an inexpensive light) and disappointing Cocoweb’s customer service is so incompetent.

A bit pricey in my opinion. That being said, you do get what you pay for. I opted not to use the dimmer. It casts a very nice light as you can see in the picture. The only thing that bothers me is the wire is not white. So for the time being, until I run power to it, the black wire shows.

Love the lamp. Seems to be high quality. Not sure if led's are replaceable.Wall attachment might be better designed - simpler but overall very nice

Excellent light for displaying artwork. Instructions were clear. The fixture appears to be well made. I wasn't sure how the dimmer switch was intended to be mounted, so I epoxyed magnets to either side any screwed a metal plate into the wall below the artwork. It works for me.

Practical and unobtrusive, comparable to much more expensive lights. Easy to mount on picture frame.
