30' tie out for large dogs
This is one of the better tie outs. I have a large husky, he has proven that I need to buy one of these every month. He is very strong and hard on them. Other wise I am happy it keeps him contained.

Great and very heavy duty. But it only lasts a year near the ocean
I have purchased these tie outs for my dogs at least 4 times. They are indeed the heaviest duty tie outs you can buy. They are well made and have extremely heavy duty hooks that won’t break. They are not made with UV resistant plastic coating over the cable so they will crack over time from sun exposure. Also at the joint where the cable meets the hook tye cable tents to rust and get weak over time. Expect 12 To 18 months at most out of these tie outs before u will need to replace them They have gone up in price so buy a few extras before they get even more expensive. I live near the sea so it is quite possible if u live in a less salty area u will get a longer life from yours.I keep buying these because they are strong and they don’t allow my rottie to get away and they don’t tangle. I tried a different cable and it was constantly getting knotted up. I am a super beast loyal customer. They are the best but they are not perfect. I am afraid something in stainless steel would be way more expensive. And probably unavailable

It will probably rip off whatever its attached to before it breaks lbs.
Its longer so he has a little more free roam and loves it. Hes an 80lb pitty but a baby. The clip isnt the best kind, but it sure definitely works. He yanked it full speed wuite a few times and it holds its own. Good solid sturdy lead, done been thru summer and winter holds up solid. Make sure you have tied or hooked to something else solid, bc this thing more then likely wont break. Itll pull or break whatever its wrapped around or hooked to lol.

Good Buy
This is a sturdy, but heavy, outdoor dog cable with a good length. It can also be hooked to a runner cable for added length. The cable is wrapped in plastic, but if ever gets twisted, kinked, or, knotted on anything, the plastic splits fairly easy and really weakens the cable casing it to wear out & break. Overall it's a good but for what it is & this issue just happens with this style in general, just know that you may need to replace it sooner than you think.

Extra Tough and Great For Strong Dogs
After having about a million ropes chewed through, and chains tangled around trees I needed an alternative. That's when I started looking up cable ties. In Alaska, we need something extra tough. I have a crazy little malimute who refuses to stay tied up when she's not running the sled with me. I like giving my pups space to run and when I saw that this tie was 40 feet long I fell in love. I didn't know what to expect for durability- as I had never used a product like this before, but I'm extremely impressed. It's heald up for 5 months now without any wear at all. The chain has been tugged back and forth constantly and it isn't showing any scrapes or cuts at all. The clips are heavy-duty and stay put. I've hever had it come undone and it easily wraps around trees, stakes, and pretty much anything strong enough to hold a dog. I love that when she runs straight out it gives her a bit of slack so when she reaches the end of the chain she isn't just immidiately stuck back. It keeps her from getting choked, and I love that. So far it's 100% the best product I've bought for my crazy little girl, and I would highly suggest it for anyone with a medium to large sized dog who wants to let them run even while chained outside!

They cant make something good anymore it's all just junk
I bought this 1and 1/2 months ago. The cable rusted and broke off from the rusting so called bull clip. 45 days is not acceptable for a product to fall apart Especially when you pay more to keep your dog safe. I don't live near the ocean so this rust was not caused by the elements. It just not made with a good quality material. I can not in good conscience recommend this cable lead.

Exactly what I had expected from the title and description.
My dog looks just like the cutie on the packaging. He is a beast and has a "steel pipe" for a neck. There was a stray in the front yard shortly after I got this cable and he would back up about 10 feet and run strait out trying to snap the line as he has so many. The clasps and line had no trouble keeping him in the yard. The 2 inch schedule 40 pipe that it's tied to is now bent, but the line is holding strong. I used a 3 foot section of heavy duty tow chain to go around the pipe and this line is attached to that. The double pivot on the clasps have eliminated the line getting twisted which used to be a problem as he loves to buck and spin like a bull when he's excited. I can finally let him out without constant supervision. The 8 foot chain link doesn't slow him down one bit. He loves the 80 foot diameter run and, thanks to the stiffness of the cable, hasn't been able to tie knots in this one (which is how the last cable failed.) Thank you for another good product. Well worth the price.

I liked it when I received it but it did not last a year. Disappointed.
I am very pleased with the quality of this product. I have a 125 lb. Newfoundland/Retriever mix and have used tie outs not designed for his weight group but they have held except for the usual clasp rusting problem. This tie out is made of a very flexible rubber/plastic coating which appears to be very durable. The clasps are a little backwards for me, but I am getting used to using them. The packaging did say to replace the tie out every year for the dog's safety/less chance of escaping so I will assume rust might become a problem. I've had this product for less than a month, so I cannot predict how well it will hold up. Overall though, I am very happy with the product and so is my dog with the 40 feet he has to roam now.6/23/2015 Update: Clasps are rusting already. Using wd40 to clean them up.2//23/2016 Update: Cable broke where attached to clasp that would attach to the dog collar. Originally purchased May 4th, 2015, so it did not even last an entire 12 months. I also kept the end that I would attach to the dog in a plastic baggie during the winter months 1. to keep it from freezing and 2. to protect it from the elements in the winter. I had to reorder this product though. Why is this the only 40 ft. tie out for dogs over 100 lbs? Hoping to find another brand even if it is not on Amazon.

The Beast 40 foot tie outs for the win
We have been using these for 3 years now. They have excellent wear. This product is excellent to put our 2 rescues, Husky Dakota 9 yr and Zury our Mexican street dog from Puebla Mexico 8 yr out on our 1/2 acre property. Lots of length to move around. Less deformity in the Winter which would make it very hard to untangle. They are strong like bull. Highly recommend this product.
