Very good battery life, the build quality seems great. The screen quality is top notch, really impressed. Fast, efficient and a powerful laptop in a lightweight package. Very happy.

I just bought this laptop and when opening the box, there is no plug or cable with this laptop. I always plug mine in as the battery does not last as long as I need it to.This has stopped me from using it in case it stops while I am using it.I am waiting for information from the seller. Will updateUPDATE - There now seems to be a problem with the keyboard, the number 2 key will not change to a @ which means I cannot type in any email addresses. This means most programs I use require an email address I can't use right now. I have spoken to a few pc experts who gave me advice to update drivers deinstall - reinstall, which all worked. But didn't fix the problem. They have told me to get it replaced. I am waiting on the company to get back to me. Very disappointed, have wasted so much time trying to sort this. Will update. 5/10/21UPDATE - Seller has contacted me to get a plug and cable sent on, seemingly because there is a different plug on the original they need to change it over to a UK plug and cable, they said it would take around two days. Will update.25th Oct - updateStill chasing them for a email sent, no reply.I bought this in 29th September, their customer service is terrible.They sent me a PC that does not run on a UK keyboard language, but no one tells you that, I spend hours trying to find out why it wouldn't work, I ended up having to tell the company, who then informed me.I got my plug, but they didn't sent me the adapter, so I still could not use my PC. So I had to ask them again to send the adapter, it was getting very heated, as I had sent them three pictures of what I needed but still they couldn't work it out, even after I pointed to my old adapter.WITH PICTURES.Still I then had to wait for the adapter to arrive.I got my adapter and found there was no instructions on how it works. so (not being technical) I struggled to get it set up. I asked them to send me a manual. They don't do manuals it seems, they sent me a link to open. (remember my old PC is on its last legs, it won't open files, all I have was email access) So my Last email, was to ask them to download a hard copy and sent it to me, as I have no printer.I have not heard from them since. They offered me $30 for compensation after a month of this nightmare. - I will update the last stage of this nightmare.

Works great sound just crackles up now an then

so useless and slow, i bought this one instead of the gaming laptop after offer because i was told it was a cheaper alternative and that the features were basically the same but its not even upgradable with standard tools. i guess its fine for work and files but if you ever hit max storage good luck trying to upgrade.

I bought this entry level laptop for my son to be able to play some basic games. This is the amd version with vega graphic, stock 4 gb ram no upgrades.First off, this laptop is really well built, the design and the look gives it a big boost. Beautifully made, definitely not something you would expect for a 400 dollar laptop.Spec wise, this model suits any general user perfectly, performance, noise, storage are all pretty basic but good for office computing. Documents, youtube, all with breeze.Video gaming, my son play minecraft and roblox on it, both allowed in windows 10 S mode. Depending on the roblox server and games, it does lag from graphic here and there, for minecraft, no problem.Battery is built in non-removable, so you will have to play plugged in with battery. I can't say for long term effect of battery life, you could open it up to take it out, but not sure if that will void warranty, and for the same reason, I did not upgrade the ram (shared between cpu and gpu, possibly enhance game performance).Couple tips and tricks for video gaming, lower your graphic settings, by means of in game, or your desktop native resolution. I know it's default at 1080p, drop it down to 720p will reduce gpu stress and lower heat as well at the same time enhance performance. If it is being used for kids, they can't tell the difference.All in all, I give it a 90/100 for the price that it comes in at.

Lo compré ya que buscaba un ordenador para la carrera que fuera ligero y de potencia media, y que preferiblemente tuviera un buen diseño. He de decir que, en lo que llevo de prueba, esta cumpliendo muy bien.El tamaño está muy bien, ni demasiado grande ni tampoco pequeño, y es muy liviano y fino.Llegó en perfecto estado, con dos bolsitas con el cargador, una pequeña con tornillos extra y las guías y garantía. Es muy ligero y silencioso, la pantalla se ve bien (tiene efecto mate, lo que viene perfecto para mi), el teclado es QWERTY inglés y silencioso. Viene con Windows 10 Home S, pero es relativamente fácil cambiarlo a Windows 10 Home si así se quiere. Se carga bastante rápido y la batería tarda mucho en gastarse.En general, una buena compra, con buena calidad-precio.

Great laptop at this price point. What makes this such a good value is Acer makes several versions of this. You can spend a lot more depending on your intended use but if that use is more basic you still get the good candy, so to speak. Same sleek design, very good screen, same materials and build quality, and all the latest tech inside along with Windows 10 Home once you switch out of S Mode.If your laptop is four or five years old like my old one you're in for a treat. Everything about this one is better than my old. It's lighter, quieter, sleeker, runs cooler, and the screen is leaps and bounds better. The keyboard feels quality, back lit, and you won't disturb anyone while typing as its very quiet in use. No more clacking!Cons? The screen could get 20% brighter. The volume could be louder from the speakers and varies in loudness from app to app at 100%. No optical drive if you're used to having one, but inexpensive external drives are easily found. No finger print reader or USB-C port as found on the more expensive models of this unit. But as said if you want or need more, pay more.Thanks to the AMD graphics you can do light to moderate gaming with this if you upgrade the RAM to at least 8gb. Quick, easy, and cheap to do. You'll need to adjust settings down, also. Sometimes dramatically. But you can play some games. Less demanding and older ones with no trouble, and on higher settings.I would recommend upgrading RAM to 8gb or more, and storage as well if need be. This isn't a matter of shortcomings with the unit, just a matter of you get what you pay for out of the box. Which is enough for a lot of us. Heck if you use your computer like many to browse the web, social media, stream videos, store photos, online shopping, modest multi tasking, and for school, work, and organization, you may not upgrade at all. I've been using it out of the box for those purposes for three days and have no slowdowns, hiccups, or crashes. It just operates smoothly, quietly, speedily, and looks good doing it. Oh, and boot up time is non existent. This thing is up and running as fast as my phones.I got mine on Cyber Monday and saved $30. But had I paid more I'd be just as happy. If in the market for a sleek and stylish BASIC laptop that doesn't look or feel like a budget unit and with all the modern hardware and software inside, you can do worse. But certainly no better.

Una compra excelente desde todos los ángulos, lo primero que hice después de desactivarle el modo wndows home S fué actualizarla y descargar mis apps y juegos, corre el CSGO, witcher 2, Fallout New Vegas y Borderlands 2 sin problemas, el Skyrim se corre en ajustes medios, es una laptop suficiente para jugar fuera de casa, lo siguiente que hice fué abrirla y mi sorpresa fué muy grande al descubrir que tenía espacio para agregarle un SSD extra, le puse un SanDisk de 128 GB que tenía arrumbado por ahí, también noté que la RAM se puede ampliar, me falta comprar un SODIMM de 4GB para mejorarla a 8 GB y ya no pido más, ponerle 16 GB ya me parece un exceso en una laptop que es para juegos ligeros, la verdad se siente fuerte y bien construída, los materiales son de muy buena calidad, el teclado retroiluminado y la tapa de aluminio le dan una apariencia elegante y moderna, el borde de la pantalla es delgadito así que le permite aprovechar muy bien el espacio de la pantalla, ya probé el dual boot con Linux KDE Plasma Neon instalado en el SanDisk SSD, y Windows 10 home en el SSD Western Digital, el dual boot funciona de maravilla, sólo es cuestión de activar en el BIOS la tecla F12 para cambiar el disco duro a la hora del arranque, excelente valor por mi dinero bien ganado.Actualizacion: le agregué otro SODIMM de 4 GB marca Hynix que me costó $300 pesos en ML, de fábrica trae un SODIMM Samsung y no tuvo problema alguno, ahora tiene 8 GB de RAM, es una laptop muy rápida tanto con Win 10 home como con Linux KDE Neon, yo la apruebo.

I was debating on which laptop to get after my 11 year old Acer Travelmate finally stopped working. I loved that laptop, so I decided to stay with Acer products. The Ryzen CPU was what caught my attention. This laptop is fast, responsive and will take anything you throw at it. The backlit keys are a nice feature. If you're on the fence about buying this laptop, just get it, you will not be disappointed.
