My 5 year old is 63 lbs...he is not not fat - he has thick legs and a butt ;) I used the reviews and the size chart, purchased size 9-10 yr old and the shorts are perfect. These shorts are the real deal. The fabric is good quality, draw string is inside and the elastic doesn't flip inside the hem.

GREAT quality. Not flimsy material and is double layered to boot. Ordered size 7/8 for my 6yr old (almost 7 - he's 58 weight percentile, about 45lbs) and fits beautifully. Ordered 5/6 for 4yr old (36lbs), also fits great. Order a size up so it will last.Colors don't run.Super comfy.Only wish they had matching adult ones so this father can match his boys. Hope they read this 😀

This is our second pair of these type of trunks, we bought the 7-8 size for my 55lb 9 year old and he felt like they were too small so we bought the next size up as a 9/10 and they’re a bit loose otherwise they fit well and look good. It takes some getting used to not having mesh underwear on the inside but all in all nice swim shorts

Just order a larger size and you’ll love those. My boys look so cute ana comfortable on those they won’t even wear anything else.

These ran extremely small. My son is 2.5 yrs old and weighs 31 lbs so I bought the size 3-4 and they were super tight on him. I had to cut the back to make them less tight which ruined how they looked. I do not recommend these.

This swim trunk is for my son's swimming class. The quality is good. It also fits well. My son likes it!

Brought this for my son, right size for him. Unlike other cheap products, this swim short comes with wash instructions and maintenance, which will keep the longer life of the short. Recommended

The material is a nice slightly thicker spandex, which is preferable for this style for personal privacy. The size is right on. This was for a five year old in the 50% for weight not heavy and not slim and the 5/6 was the right choice. It was actually purchase to go under a light colored scuba style floating suit, which was needed for modesty. Definitely would recommend.
