These lamps are really bright and easy to use with one plug for both lamps and 2 separate clips and flexible cable for bending into position.The bulbs themselves are actually lots of LEDs in 2 colours which I think give the spectrum the plants need, just don't look directly at them as they are very bright!I am not an expert in growing indoor plants, but have seen these used in a few YouTube tutorials, so wanted to give them a try and for the price they are great value.To early to say how much of a difference they will make to my plants, but with the dull, grey, weather I think that the plants will appreciate it!

My fault for not fully reading the blurb as this is very bright and only one brightness level (would have preferred option to dim it) AND its not on a timer (so we added a timer on the plug) but it looks great, does get a bit hot so keep at least 6" from anything, especially leaves and fingers... strong clip for attaching and you can switch either one, two (or no!) bulbs on at any time. Fully adjustable gooseneck but slightly shorter than my terrarium (again, my fault for not reading the spec). My Venus Fly traps and Pitcher plants are thriving, however, and receive very little direct sunlight (hence the addition of this grow light. So yes, they would recommend it, I'm sure

I was unsure about whether a grow light would be a suitable replacement for natural light, as my room is quite dark. The picture shows my plant when I first bought it from a supermarket looking sparse, and after two weeks under the grow light. There is clearly a lot of dense new growth coming out through the middle. I can’t wait to see it after a few months!I also like how it has a simple on off switch so a wall plug timer can be used, as opposed to the inbuilt timer ones with only 3/6/12 hour options, which also require resetting if the power is removed.The necks are a bit short and flimsy, and I have really only managed to used each head for one plant each, so I have to be particular about how I place the plants underneath; but this doesn’t bother me too much as the lights themselves are probably the best I’ve tried for actually helping plants.In conclusion, happy plants!

Good points:It’s flexible. It attaches well to a shelf and the lights can be moved into place.My plant hasn’t died yet so it must be doing its job.Bad points:It only has the option of a 3,6 and 12 hour timer. A 9 hour one would have been nice.The timer setting is forgotten of it loses power which isn’t good if you have a power cut, especially if you’re away from home for a few days when it happens.It doesn’t come on straight away when plugged in so can’t be used with a separate timer plug or smart plug.The blue light built into the controller is too bright and flashes turning a dark room into a disco. Not good if it’s in a bedroom.

It looks like the 60W is supposed to be an equivalent rating of the bulbs as if they were incandescent.The actual rating of these is 5.28 Watts (for both lights on at the same time), meaning each bulb individually is approx 2.64 Watts. This is based on the rating of the transformer on the plug.This means the average cost of running these for the recommended 8 hours/day would be something like 1p/day (assuming standard electricity unit cost in UK of 15p/kWh.) Very cheap!Overally I really like this - very easy to whip out at night and put on our house plants during winter. Having two bulbs means good coverage of leaves. My only really annoyance is the misleading power statistics quoted in the title of the listing and the poor quality instructions (then again, who needs instructions for a light bulb!)The light is very bright and I'd be happy to buy this again.
