The media could not be loaded.  I debated between these and a similar wood cutout product. Not disappointed in these. The bolts browsers are asking about are not an issue. The tops CAN be seen from the front, they are painted black and not visible from the room; only if you get to within inches of the bird. I believe they are to let the cut out stand off from the wall, as opposed to laying flat up against it, giving a nice semi-3D effect and accommodating the metal hanger that is bolted in the back. Don't let the discussion on these bolts dissuade you from purchasing. Several people suggested mounting with sticky products of various kinds, but because of warnings about not using on painted walls and the way these are designed, I decided to go with tiny nails. My package came with large brads but I used my own, much small ones and I have little doubt they will work nicely. The birds come packaged in 2 boxes ( a box inside a box) and are taped to sheets of Styrofoam for packing. I arranged them on the floor first to get an idea how I wanted them to "fly". Because they are "birds flying", getting the nail in that PERFECT SPOT like you might want for a framed picture is not critical and I mounted them by myself by eyeballing. I took several videos which I am still trying to figure out how the share - an older not so technically savvy Gramma. View others' posted pics for ideas on how to use them creatively. Maybe some day I'll figure out how to get mine posted... tee hee. I have nothing negative to say about this metal art and would highly recommend.Update - Grandson helped upload this video which I hope helps you see how the bolts help the birds "stand off" the wall. I like the effect and have no issue with their presence.

Amazing quality and just look beautiful

They came packed really well to prevent any scratches. My husband was able to easily switch the screw to change their direction. He had no problem hanging on the wall. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Solid metal. Arrived a little dirty, but easily cleaned up. Almost wish they stuck out a full inch from the wall rather than the 1/4” but we love them.

Perfect addition to my living room. I wanted them to face East so I just removed and flipped the hardware.

We placed these birds in our patio. They are very sturdy, perfect size and worth every penny. I would say indoors in a great room or rustic farm decor. That being said, we love them and get many compliments

They are beautiful. The small protruding bolts on the front were not appealing. You could really see them due to the slight shinny finish. I bought Black 3.0 paint and painted them over. The bolts are barely noticeable now. Now they are perfect.

The birds are such a fun way to add dimension to any wall. Easy to install and look great.

We really like these striking birds, very pleased with the workmanship and quality, they look great in any formation and the shadowing makes them stand out more. No negative things to say, love them, exactly what we were looking for

Bought these for my stair wall, absolutely love them, they’re my new favourite thing, my wall is white so they really stand out and yes you can see the screws but I like that about them it gives them an industrial look. If you’re thinking of buying these, do it !!!

Lovely product, turned up on due date, beautifully packaging with all equipment to hang and instructions easy to follow. Great quality, not flimsy and look great. Would definitely recommend.
