So I bought one of these lighters earlier in the year and it was like 25 bucks. And then I started getting all this cool titanium stuff and then I saw this lighter with the rainbow metallic colors and it was like $10 cheaper. Overall I really like it works just like my other one but it was way cheaper. You can use it to light a pipe unlike other plasma lighters and you can charge it with USB so you can feel environmentally friendly. Just like how a Big Mac is really gross because you're like dude for $5 I can do so much better but then when it's like two for $5 you're like you know a Big Mac looks pretty good now.

Great for lighting a bowl or something like a cigar that's too wide for the arc kind. I love these plasma lights. No fuel taste!Update: I have removed one star from this product because it has an on/off switch on the bottom that at first I thought was good. Unfortunately, the blue light ring around the fire button stays on continuously when the switch is in the 'on' position and that drains the battery, so you could kill it in a day without even using it if you turn it 'on'.

Both of my sons (under 25) hear an annoying high-pitched sound, but my husband and I (over 40) do not hear anything. We do lose the ability to hear certain frequencies as we age. So I guess those of us who remember the Thundercats are cool to buy this product...After my original post about this product, my husband's cap had fallen off (2 weeks in), mine stopped working all together about 1 month in, and finally my husband's stopped about a week after mine did. Definitely not worth the money.

PROS: No flame. Totally windproof. You can't blow it out. Plenty of life out of a charge. Works for lighting pipes. Touching metal rim on my pipe doesn't cause any problem.CONS: It's large, heavy and clunky with the lid being the weakest part. The hinge magnet fell out out within weeks. The switch on the bottom is tiny and difficult to swipe with one hand, but it's a safety to keep you from Tazing yourself - LOL! The blue LED on-light is way brighter than it needs to be.ME: I like it enough to keep using it.

The top of the lid seems flimsy but it's not it's just magnetic and small. This arrived and looks like it does in the photo. I was very pleased it's a safer option for me since I have a little one. I like that there's no flame and there's a tiny on and off switch on the bottom. Great color and very happy it will save me time and money having to but new lighters since this one is rechargeable :) I also got this because I like candles a whole lot and light them often and I've never been good at relighting candles when they're in jars and the wax is so low to where you have to really get in there. Now I don't have to think about that.

This lighter will NOT work well for any pipe or bowl-oriented smoking device. Normally I would give 2 stars, as it works fine, but since it is advertised as working for pipes or bowls, I'm giving it one star.

Very clever and cool. A must have just for the fun of it. But if you're a smoker of the fine stuff it's a must. And go with the neon.

Only had this for a day, so I can't attest to longevity. Made well, charges easily, looks great, and functioned. However the X is a little small to light the end of a 'fat cigarette' so the burn wasn't even... and the BIGGEST issue is the super high-pitched squeal it emits when you light it. My mum couldn't hear it, but I have very good hearing and it's quite prominent. Woke my cat from a sleep so quickly he jumped off the bed and stared at me. Not sure if all of these products do this, but now I know to check
