Stencil 201: 25 New Reusable Stencils with Step-by-Step Project Instructions Paperback – September 28, 2011

The stencils are nice, though I thought they would be entirely plastic instead of plastic coated. And, they are a little hard to detach from the book without tearing or twisting them. However, the stencils are really good ones and I've gotten several ideas from the book. Since I work with solvents, the stencils won't last long, but I can use them as a template to cut hardier ones out of heavy mylar. Overall, it was a good purchase.

I really like these stencils just wish they were plastic instead of waxed paper as they are difficult to clean after use and are prone to tear upon removal from book. I use them with children so maybe would be non issue with exclusive adult use.

I bought this book mainly for inspiration, a few techniques, and the stencils themselves. Most of the projects are so basic that they spark little or no inspiration, and most of the techniques are obvious or simple. It's not a bad book, but I am disappointed in the value.The biggest disappointment, however, is that there are no stencils included in the digital book. Of course I did not expect actual stencils, but printable templates could have been included.

I would suggest this set of stencil over the stencil 101 which I also left a review. This set is actually plastic and located all in the back of the book loose leaf style. I received them yesterday and used several on art pieces and quilt pieces I was working on and the results add the extra POP I was looking for on each piece.

I have already made two t-shirts and decorated a plate for a gift. Instructions are clear and the stencils are strong to withstand many uses.

I received it on time as promised. It looked exactly like it did online. I just wish the stencils were bigger and if they were plastic instead of not so this cardboard it would be worth investing more money.

There is so much to enjoy here! Really liked the four fold folder (say that three times fast). The book is full of a nice variety of fun patterns and the stencils are sturdy. I'm really digging this book.

WOW!! The 25 stencils are amzing in design and quality. They clean well and I loved the storage envelope at the end of the book. There is a stencil in here for everybody!

FANTASTIC set of stencils - all big and easy to use. Good quality mylar but its sad the first book of this series was covered card. The info about stencilling inside the book is excellent. Concise and informative with many tips. The graphics of the pages are also first class. The whole package is easily the best creative book ive bought.

Some pages tear as the stencil bridges are very thin and close to the binding in some cases, so would advise using a knife to take out stencils. Other than that, was satisfied with results (used on plain tote bags). Same as my review for the other Stencil 101 book as found quality very similar and same issues with tearing of stencils if removing from the book without a knife or scissors.

I ordered this book for an art party I was organising for teenage girls. They weren't going to have much time to produce a piece of art they'd want to take home so I thought spray-painting with stencils onto canvases (in the garden!) would be a good idea. I ordered this stencil book for them to use and it proved ideal for the purpose. The girls were very pleased with their canvases. There were plenty of stencils with a good range of images, the images were contemporary and the plastic stencils stood up to a lot of use and can be used again.

Very good quality and full of a wide choice of shapes, patterns and figures. Ideal for my experiments with Street Art.
