Really impressed - works great with EE and Three
I use this to replace the built-in hotspot with my Mercedes, with Mercedes it's using an integrated sim with Vodafone which is very expensive to top up and the signal coverage is poor, even with good 3g/4g signal the built-in hotspot performance is very poor. Ordered the Huawei E5576 stuck an EE data sim into it and bingo, really great performance and works great to keep the kids entertained while on the road. Three tested and works great too and is a lot cheaper for an unlimited data sim but coverage is patchy in my area.

NIce and easy to set up and use
Bought for our static caravan to watch internet services on a smart TV. Stuck with Virgin for the sim as good coverage in our area in Wales. I got a £20/month sim off Virgin with unlimited data, which works a dream. Can't comment on battery life yet as only just had it. Just make sure you take a photo of the SSID and key from under the cover before you close it all up. I'm going to try it with Google Home too at the van when I get down there and will update. So far, quick, easy to use and set up. Almost as good as wired broadband and will be good for the regular outages we get at home too. I might just buy another one... Update: 2 weeks in and I have a small network in the caravan. It's running all digital TV services, a google nest mini, one smart bulb in a table lamp and a smart outlet in the kitchen. Everything is remotely accessible over the 4G network. If I can can find a cheap wifi security camera, that'll be the next thing. I'm really rather impressed. The only negative was the crap weather this weekend took out the local 4G network which knackered us a bit as there's no alternative data source. This was fixed a few hours later and everything came back into service with no input from me required. Handy as the van is over 100 miles away.

Works fantastically for and much better than the cheaper ones around
Had a few issues with devices connecting to a previous hotspot so got this instead. After hours of messing around, this worked perfectly right of the box. So I guess that saying of 'you get what you pay for' really applies. I do wish it was a little cheaper hence the 4* review. At the end of the day, they should all work like this! But without the hefty price tag ;(

Amazing
I live in a signal black spot, we also travel in our camper van. This little gadget took the poor signal at home and allowed me to stream from BBC and Netflix at home. It was just as good on the face of it as our Virgin Broadband. I’m finding it hard to get my head around the efficiency of a battery operated little thing like this coupled with (in my case) EE mobile SIM looks like it may replace an expensive system like Virgin, only time will tell. Currently I’ve only had it a short while, I’ll certainly update if it isn’t so but currently it fabulous.

Not that simple a setup as suggested, and so far - poor mobile signal...
I ordered this product to use in my car (in conjunction with a dashcam), using a SIM from Sky. Putting the SIM in etc was easy enough - however, the unit did not detect the network settings. We tried re-downloading the settings several times with no success. Eventually, I had to manually configure the APN settings in the units configuration screen. I could imagine this might cause some people issues. Once done, the unit worked. That said, the mobile signal is poor. My phone is also with Sky, and placing this next to the hotspot I can see 50% signal on my phone and 0 signal on the hotspot. Not great! I will see how it performs over the coming days.....

Easy to set up
I checked out reviews for a lot of similar products and this one, for me, came out on top. Really good, I have just got it plugged in all the time. Signal is good, and I'm in a terraced house that has always struggled for signal. Mainly use it for streaming (Netflix, prime) and had no issues. Very easy to set up too.

Did not work (2 units faulty) - Lousy tech support
Router arrived, could not get WIFI access to work. Spent over 2 hours on two "chats" and a phone call from a huawei "Expert" who did not know what a mobile router with a SIM card was... He was unable to do a swap so refunded money and ordered a replacement.2nd router arrived. Access via WIFI now OK. Unfortunately now "no internet" (with a brand new SIM that works in other devices...). Further 45 minutes on to Amazon "helpdesk" - transferred to huawei "expert" helpdesk. He had never touched / worked on or supported one of these before, which would have mattered less if his system with the script had been working. It wasn't, so after 20 minutes he said I should hang up and redial the number he was calling from to get another operator (he could not transfer me to another operator... I hung up and redialled - engaged. I have currently redialled 14 times over the last two hours - engaged...... Explained to Amazon helpdesk who said the only thing to do was to return for refund and order a third one and start again.I am not happy with two out of two products not working, or with more than 2 hours on 4 "expert help desk" calls to people who knew literally nothing about the product concerned.

Inconsistent performance and poor battery life
When this device is running well, I get absolutely fantastic speed out of it. Unlike a lot of similar devices it supports the full feature set required for a lot of applications to work such as uPnP.But I just can't recommend this product, because about 1/3 of the time it simply crawls. I don't know if it's thermally throttling or what but I see sub-kilobyte-per-second up/down with a good signal. If I put the SIM in another device it's fast again. Also, the battery life is unusually short; I have a 4GEE unit with the same mAH capacity which lasts nearly three times as long.
