Judy Moody: The Mad Rad Collection: Books 7-9

The books were requested by my granddaughter for her birthday. she loves them and has started reading them already.

My granddaughter is absolutely obsessed with these books. They keep her interested and help with her love of reading.

OK, maybe I'm weird. I really like Judy Moody. I first met her in the movie "Judy Moody and the not bummer summer". Which is also adorable. Why is this a bit weird? Because I'm 61 and I still enjoy a rather silly set of children's books. But these stories are interesting and well written. And I'm used to being weird.

I bought ALL the Judy Moody books for my 6 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She isn’t at this reading level yet so mom and dad read her a few chapters each night. The next day they have her recall the stories. This has been great for her reading comprehension and now the little light in her head has gone off and she can’t wait to be able to read these books all by herself.

The kids especially the girls have motivated other students to try them. Now all my female students are hooked.

Our granddaughter just wasn't a big fan of reading. She hated the thought of having to read every day and each night at bedtime. We took a chance and ordered all 9 of these books and everything turned around for her. She loved them ALL. Couldn't wait to read at bedtime each night then.

This is a good book. I think for third graders and second graders I would recommened it to. You go Megan McDonald!
