Excellent ski helmet
I just received this ski helmet and I did have one minor issue with a tab on the helmet that wasn't the fault of the seller and an easy fix and it was remedied promptly by TurboSke customer service (Jack). That said, the helmet is very lightweight and comfortable. My son has a Smith helmet and in truth, I think this is lighter and a much better value. Some of the TurboSke helmet models do not come in the large size that is 59-63cm but I got the one that did and it fits great and adjustment is great. Only recommendation I have to TurboSke is I wish that they would make their helmet with a smaller or no logo as it would probably appeal to an even wider range of people who don't want to be 'seen' with an offbrand name but want a top quality, comfortable helmet. Either way, if this is an issue for anyone, you can easily put a sticker over the label but the bottom line is that the helmet is well made, comfortable, lightweight and low profile.

It saved my life!
(Robyn’s mom) I am a 67-year-old woman who falls down a lot. I have been using this helmet for protection for almost 2 years now. It’s light, comfortable, and meets the U.S. government safety standards for impact resistance. Three weeks ago I fell down a pair of very steep concrete steps (normal depth and width but about 12” high!) and my head (in the helmet) hit the concrete floor with a THUD. No dizziness, pain, or nausea like I had with a concussion years ago, so I figured I was safe to get up. Took myself to the ER for a CT scan to be on the safe side - no concussion, no brain bleed, not even a bump. The helmet at the least saved me from severe injury, and may very well have saved my life![I learned many years ago in motorcycle safety school that once a helmet has taken a significant impact, it’s toast. Even if you don’t see any damage, the foam has been compressed enough to compromise safety. So I bought a new one and retired this one to the trash can with thanks and honors!]

LOVE THIS
A great product for the price. It also adds a little warmth. It has a nice fit. Straps are easy to adjust. It's lightweight and it shipped VERY fast, which was a huge bonus. We recommend!

Decent helmet but with design “holes” and oddities
This is a decent helmet especially for the price, hence my rating on the higher side, but it does have some design “holes” (literally) as I note below:(1) The helmet has holes on the top presumably for venting, but that design combined with the coarse-perforated inner lining means that it is not rain proof. Rain water or melting snow will simply run right in. This may not be a problem if you are unlikely to be skiing or snowboarding unless its sunny, but I got it for commuting on my bicycle in winter, so I need more rain protection. My current biking helmet is aerodynamic and has big holes (by design) for summer venting with no ear protection forcing me to wear separate ear muffs, so I bought this skiing helmet hoping to get both head and ear protection.(2) The top of the ear flaps are hard plastic and are not attached to the helmet itself. They seem to settle in place fine while wearing, but the design feels odd and cheap and fragile, and I see no obvious value of it.(3) It’s less warm compared to other helmets I’ve tried. The inner lining is thin and perforated as I also note above. There is thicker ear protection and it feels warm enough in the high 40s or 50s, but I am not sure if it will be warm enough for me in the 20s or low 30s, as someone who is skinny and gets very cold easily.Overall, this reasonably priced helmet is decent value for the money, looks good, and is functionally fine when the weather is not wet and not too cold (but not otherwise).

Great value helmet
For the price of two helmet rentals here in the North East, you get to have your own helmet. It’s got the rough comfort level of a rental helmet (which is very decent) and conforms well to your head with the adjustable knob in the back.I highly recommend this for the casual skier or snowboarder.

Very comfortable!!!
The helmet is easily adjusted fit comfortably well. The chin strap is a nice addition and makes the strap so much more comfortable. I see a lot of people with loose or unattached chin straps, often due to the strap being uncomfortable. The pad might alleviate the need to keep the strap loose. The adjustment knob would probably not be so easy to use with gloves, as advertised, but that’s not a problem. The goggle strap holder on the back of the helmet is easy to use and keeps your goggles in place. The ear pads are very comfortable and should do a pretty decent job keeping your ears warm. They also have the ability to add Bluetooth speakers (even the puck style fit). If you plan on removing the ear pads, it does get easier after a few times. Mine were very hard to remove the first time.

Looks great, feels high quality, good price, warm ears!
Didn't take any hits to the head on the recept trip luckily, but this helmet feels like it can take a good knock. Ears were super warm. Fits comfortably, looks much more expensive than it is!
