THESE WORK FOR LAVA LAMPS
If your lava lamp needs a light bulb of this size & base, this is the one to get as it actually produces enough heat to move the lava. Other ones of this size & base that fit into my lava lamp & light up fine do not produce enough heat to move the lava. So if you are here trying to figure out if this one works for lava lamps, it does!

Safe light bulbs with healthy white light emmisions.
I like that these light bulbs give a full spectrum of all of the colors in white light, and they are clear with no coating. This is a healthier type of light than the newer energy efficient unhealthy, aggressive, blue light wave emitting LED bulbs, which are leathel/ toxic if broken.

Bulb separates from base when removing
Nice little bulbs while working but when they burn out in a few months the bulb cleanly separates from the metal screw in piece now I have a job. Just watch a utube video same bulb same issue glass is not adhered well enough to the base & he had to use tools to get it out.

40 watt medium base bulb
these bulbs are just what we need in our condo. That size is usually difficult to find in our local area. Once installed, they work perfectly and give good light.

Exploding Bulbs
I like decorative lightbulbs in my fixtures. I've tried a bunch of these in ceiling fans, bathroom vanities etc. I have had about a half dozen explode. The bulb either weakens from this base and falls breaking, or simply explodes. I would say I got a bad batch(?), but as i said, I've really given these a try and the problem has been consistent. Since, I've replaced with different bulbs and the problem is gone - so it's not the fixtures or power spikes...

Great little bulbs
These little 40-watt decorative bulbs are cleaner than normal sized bulbs as far as the light they give off. I use them in all my lamps and overhead fixtures and some appliances too. And so far, they really last a long time, making the 6-pack a very economical buy.
