This is a very good shampoo bar. The fragrance is very nice, it rinses out easily and it leaves hair soft and shiny.

I'm convinced this is a superior product to anything available in bottle form. It is freshly scented, lathers well (not as crazy much lather as bottled products, but it rinses out quicker, thus saving a little bit of water), and lasted me 3 months. I have shoulder-length super thick hair and this shampoo keeps my hair shiny with great body. It's somehow lighter than other products and I can actually get through 3 or 4 days between shampoos (maybe using dry shampoo on the 4th day). The unbreakable tin is safe in the shower, and it's impossible to spill a bar of shampoo. If my shampoo tin catches any water in it during the shower I just drain it out and let it dry on the counter overnight. This bar shampoo gets a little softer with use and is malleable enough that I can dig a little piece out and work it into my scalp. My hair dresser told me to flip my hair over and scrub the shampoo into the back underside of my hair, and up to my temples and forehead, and then massage or scrub into the top of the head last. Rinsing from underside while scrubbing continues to wash and rinse at the same time. This product rinses out squeaky clean. Be sure to use the conditioner bar for a tangle-free comb-out. Thank you for developing this product. My hair loves it, and I really feel like I'm doing some small things to help the environment (using less water and fewer plastic bottles). This product is commendable!

This is the first bar shampoo that I've purchased. It has a really wonderful lemon scent. I have short Asian hair. This product gets my hair squeaky clean with just one lather-up. I also bought the matching conditioner bar. Together, they make my hair shiny and soft. The only fault I found was, after about 4 shampoos, the bar broke in half. Once that happened, it started crumbling apart. I've placed all of the pieces into a fine mesh bag that I made to hold soap pieces, just so that I could use as much as I can. If the bar was pressed a wee bit denser, I don't think this would've happened. All in all, a pretty good product. There are less expensive shampoo bars available. I have yet to try them, so I can't really compare this product to anything else.

I've tried other bar shampoos before but they didn't last very long at all. After about a week they'd usually dissolve on me. This one has lasted me a good while however and has barely shrunk at all! It lathers up very quickly and smells wonderful too! 10/10 would recommend.

I LOVE everything about this product! The scent is wonderful (call me crazy, but I like my eo products to actually smell like eo's, and quality eo's at that), the lather is luxurious, it rinses out clean (a tough job with our super-soft whole-house filtered water) and it left my hair glorious. I do think it's important to balance the hair ph after shampooing with an ACV rinse. Any soap is very alkaline, and our hair has an acid mantle to maintain so if you have any issues with your hair after using this, try that and I bet you it will solve the issue. The 2nd thing I want to say is that it's super annoying to see reviewers bash an excellent product because they had an allergic reaction. At the end of the day, it's the job of the consumer to know what allergies they have and avoid the product, or chalk it up as a lesson learned and another allergy discovered. If you are allergic to a rhizome like ginseng, chances are pretty good that you might be allergic to another rhizome like turmeric. If you are allergic to chocolate, you should avoid cocoa butter~ or at least err on the side of caution with a patch test before slathering all over your head. It's just common sense. No company can completely eliminate all possible allergens from their products~ someone can be allergic to anything and it appears to me that this company has done an excellent job of avoiding all of the more common allergens. This environmentally-friendly, plant-based, cruelty-free, super-effective product is one you can feel good about purchasing, plus the tins have endless re-purposing potential. Buy it!

This soap smells amazing and does the trick, but I'm disappointed by the lack of lather it provides. You have to lather it up quite a bit to produce the soap needed for longer hair.

I have tried so many shampoo bars, and this one by Aspen Kay is the only one that actually works for me. I have long, thick, and straight hair. Every other shampoo bar either left residue in my hair or dried my hair out so badly to the point that no amount of hair masque or conditioner would help. This one? Pure loveliness! I actually felt prompted to write this review after my mother in law complimented my hair on Thanksgiving. She randomly brought up my hair and said that it looks super healthy and shiny, and I actually ended up sending her the link to the shampoo and conditioner so that she can try it herself!The shampoo is so gentle yet cleanses very well. The conditioner is very rich and creamy, and it's easy to massage into the ends and body of my hair. Thank you, Aspen Kay, for making such a high quality, zero waste, all natural product that works! I'm a customer for life!
