Amazon Essentials Girls and Toddlers' Heavy-Weight Hooded Puffer Jackets

This is a nice winter jacket. My daughter said that it keeps her warm in the cold weather, and even though it is a "puffy" jacket, she said she has no problem swinging on the monkey bars or climbing up trees. She also likes the zipper guard feature located at the top of the zipper because it protects her neck and under her chin from getting scratched by the zipper handle. The hood offers nice coverage and stays on even in windy conditions. This jacket also goes well with the Amazon Basics snowpants. The jacket is true to size, but if you want to size up one size (like we did), the jacket will still fit all right, especially because it is quite "puffy," so it doesn't look quite as big as thinner jackets might.The jacket tends to dry quickly EXCEPT for the cuffs. This is why I took off one star. The cuffs are absolutely awful! I think the designer(s) thought they were adding a modern and "cool" feature to the jacket by making cuffs that resemble the cuff design of the thin, stretchy long-sleeve shirts with the thumb holes. Unfortunately, this "cool" feature does not dry quickly (like the rest of the jacket), so when my kiddo plays outside in the snow, the cuffs are soaking wet for hours afterwards. I wish they had made the cuffs out of the same quick-dry nylon fabric as the rest of the outside of the jacket. Even with this flaw, I would still recommend this jacket.

We got a size 6-7 for our 5-year old daughter and it *just* fits her. She is very slim but tall for her age (90-something percentile for height, 50-something for weight). Love that the jacket has cozy touches of fleece in the pockets, at the neck, torso, and wrists (but not in the rest of the sleeves so that it goes on easily and fits more comfortably with clothing). My daughter loves the thumb-holes on the sleeves and loves the jacket. We have washed and dried it a few times as well and it looks as good as new. Very pleased!

Great coat! Bought this for winters that are usually around 30-50 degrees. It’s perfect for playing outside. It’s great quality and feels a coat I’d pay 50 dollars for. We’ve had it for about a month and so far seems to be holding up well. It’s soft and cozy, not stiff or rough.My daughter wears a 10-12/ large and the large fit just right. Not too big, not too small.

I purchased this coat for my 7 year old granddaughter. I purchased the size small. She is 52 pounds and fits great. She’ll get another year out of it. I bought the blue with pink inside. It is a real cute coat. It is perfect for north Georgia winters where it can be in the 20s and 30s In the mornings for school.

I was surprised at how well this jacket is constructed, considering its price. This is a thick, warm jacket, and it's beautiful. Say yes to this one.

I liked the fact that it was nicely lined with a soft pink lining, and it first as expected I bought my grand daughter this coat for the Harsh Rochester winters n she has enough room to wear a sweater or sweatshirt. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Perfect jacket for Wisconsin! My daughter is a rough 11-year-old and she can’t even mess this jacket up. It fits so nice and it is a really nice jacket. I wish I had ordered myself one.

Bought this coat for my 3 year old GranddaughterShe loves it especially the thumb holes in the cuff. Really well made with lovely pink lining and a couple of buttons inside to keep the cold out.Really pleased with it. She is 3 years 5 months, I bought a 4 year old, I wouldn’t say there was a lot of growing room in it but it fits great and will see her over the winter.

Good fit and value for money

This coat is super cute! I bought a extra size small for my 3 year old and it is a little big, which is what I was going for so she can hopefully wear it again next year. The quality is really good. I’m impressed.
