Having searched for a d shaped seat was delighted to find one that fits perfectly.

It looks tacky and cheap, and can't be fitted so it doesn't move when you sit on it. Waste of money.

I wouldn't have chosen a D shaped toilet for my bathroom, but it was here when I moved in and I don't want to replace the whole toilet given that it functions perfectly well. I wanted a wooden effect toilet seat with a soft close, and there really aren't many options.This was easy to fit, and it screws into a top fitting (modern) toilet very well. This method of fixing is much more reliably sturdy than any other, as I've found that those that use adhesive will always eventually lose their stickiness over time and move about. This also means that it's much easier to remove and re-sit the hinges if you ever need to do so, to install on a new loo or change the position of the seat.The hinges are good, the toilet seat is quite light but the soft close works well and isn't too stiff. I hope it will stand the test of time. The seat fits my D shaped toilet perfectly, so is very secure to use.The actual quality of the seat is the area that lets it down. There were some deformations on it that I don't think should have passed QA; mine didn't have an entirely smooth surface and there is a deformity in the shape of a line across the back of the seat (see picture) that I don't think should be there. It's not a problem as it doesn't make it uncomfortable to use, it just means that overall the seat has a cheaper feel and appearance that it should. Given that this is not a particularly cheap seat, I was disappointed with this.

Good solid piece of wood. Unless your behind is duck shaped its pretty uncomfortable

The chrome effect hinges are actually plastic and slide apart with the slightest movement. It looks great but sadly not at all robust.

Bad quality, especially for the price. It isnt even aligned properly which makes fitting difficult. Fittings also loose and so not secure on the toilet. Unfortunately really need one for my awkward shaped toilet but will need to probably buy more fittings. For the price, not really worth it. Look elsewhere.

The seat is oddly narrow (the 'ring') and its quite cheap looking, looks more like its been covered in sticky back plastic. If it were easier to return I would. But the hinges are good so will keep till it breaks then re-use the hinges.

Product arrived damaged, so I cannot comment on its quality. Awaiting a refund.
